'तिपृ क्षरणे' धातु से “तिप्पंति” प्रयोग बना हुआ है । इसका अर्थ है-“तिपृ क्षरणे इति वचनात् तेपयन्ति अश्रुक्षरणादि-शोककारणोत्पादनेन” आंखों से अश्रु-विमोचन कराना इत्यादि ।
अब सूत्रकार उक्त विषय का ही वर्णन करते हैं:
एवामेव ते इत्थि-काम-भोगेहिं मुच्छिया गिद्धा गढिया अज्झोववण्णा जाव वासाइं चउ-पंचमा-छ-दस-माणि वा अप्पतरो वा भुज्जतरो वा कालं भुंजित्ता काम-भोगाई पसेवित्ता वेरायतणाई संचिणित्ता बहुयं पावाई कम्माई उसन्नं संभार-कडेण कम्मणा से जहा-नामए अय-गोले इ वा सेल-गोले इ वा उदयंसि पक्खित्ते समाणे उदग-तलमइवत्तित्ता अहे धरणी-तले पइठाणे भवति एवामेव तहप्पगारे पुरिस-जाए वज्ज-बहुले धूत-बहुले पंक-बहुले वेर-बहुले दंभ-नियडि-साइ-बहुले आसायणा-बहुले दंभ-नियडि-साइ-बहुले आसायणा-घाती कालमासे कालं-किच्चा धरणी-तलमइवत्तित्ता अहे नरग-धरणी-तले पइठाणे भवति ।
एवमेव ते स्त्री-काम-भोगेषु मूच्छिता गृद्धा अध्युपपन्ना यावद्वर्षाणि चत्वारि, पञ्च, षड्, दश वाल्पतरं वाभूयस्तरं वा कालं भुक्त्वा काम-भोगान्, प्रसेव्य वैरायतनानि, सञ्चित्य बहूनि पापानि कर्माणि, प्रायः सम्भार-कृतेन कर्मणा स यथानामक: अयोगोलक इव शैल-गोलक इव उदके प्रक्षिप्तः सन् उदक-तलमतिवर्त्य अधो धरणीतले प्रतिष्ठितो भवति, एवमेव तथा प्रकारः पुरुष-जातोऽवद्य-बहुलः, धूत-बहुलः, पङ्क-बहुलः, वैर-बहुलः, दम्भ-निकृति-साति-बहुलः, आशातना-बहुलः, अयशोबहुलोऽप्रतीति-बहुलः प्रायेण त्रस-प्राण-घाती काल-मासे कालं-कृत्वा धरणीतलमतिवाधो नरक-धरणी-तले प्रतिष्ठितो भवति ।
