दशाश्रुतस्कन्धसूत्रम्
से अपने आप क्षय हो जाती है इसी प्रकार केवल एक मोहनीय कर्म के नाश होने पर शेष सब कर्म अनायास ही नष्ट हो जाते हैं, क्योंकि सब कर्मों में मोहनीय कर्म ही प्रमुख है और प्रमुख के नाश होने पर गौण की सत्ता नहीं रह सकती ।
सूत्रकार पुनः उक्त विषय का ही विवरण करते हैं :
सुक्क - मूले जहा रुक्खे सिंचमाणे ण रोहति ।
एवं कम्मा ण रोहंति मोहणिज्जे खयं गए ।। १४ ।।
शुष्क-मूलो यथा वृक्षः सिच्यमानो न रोहति ।
एवं कर्माणि न रोहन्ति मोहनीये क्षयं गते ।। १४ ।।
पंचमी दशा
पदार्थान्वयः - जहा - जैसे सुक्क - मूले- शुष्क-मूल रुक्खे-वृक्ष सिंचमाणे- जल से सिञ्चन किए जाने पर भी ण रोहति - पुनः अङ्कुरित नहीं होता एवं इसी प्रकार मोहणिज्जे - मोहनीय कर्म के खयं गए - क्षय हो जाने पर कम्मा- शेष सब कर्म भी ण रोहंति उत्पन्न नहीं होते ।
मूलार्थ - जैसे शुष्क वृक्ष जल से सिञ्चन किये जाने पर अङ्कुरित नहीं होता इसी प्रकार मोहनीय कर्म के नष्ट होने पर अन्य कर्म भी उत्पन्न नहीं होते ।
टीका - इस सूत्र में भी सूत्रकार ने उपमा का ही आश्रय लिया है । जिस प्रकार वृक्ष की जड़ सूख जाने पर जल - सिञ्चन से भी वह पुनः अंकुरित नहीं होता इसी प्रकार मोहनीय कर्म के सर्वथा क्षय होने पर अन्य कर्म उत्पन्न नहीं होते, क्योंकि संसार में जन्म-मरण - संतति मोहनीय कर्म द्वारा ही होती है, जब मूल का नाश हो जायगा तो भव-रूपी अंकुर कभी भी उत्पन्न न हो सकेंगे ।
अतः सम्यग् - ज्ञान, सम्यग् दर्शनादि मोहनीय कर्म के नाशक कारणों का सदैव आराधन करना चाहिए ।
सूत्रकार पुनः उक्त विषय का ही विवरण करते हैं:
जहा दड्ढाणं बीयाणं न जायंति पुण अंकुरा । कम्म- बीयेसु दड्ढेसु न जायंति भवंकुरा ।। १५ ।।

**Mulaarth:** Just as a dry tree does not sprout when watered, similarly, other Karmas do not arise when the Mohaniya Karma is destroyed.

**Teeka:** In this Sutra, the Sutrakar has also used an analogy. Just as a tree, when its root is dry, does not sprout again even when watered, similarly, when the Mohaniya Karma is completely destroyed, other Karmas do not arise.
