पंचमी दशा
हिन्दीभाषाटीकासहितम् ।
अभिलाषा छोड़ दी हो, जो भयङ्कर से भयङ्कर कष्टों को सहन करने वाला अर्थात् देव-कृत उपसर्ग (आपत्ति) आदि का सहन करने वाला हो, सम्पूर्ण सत्रह भेद सहित संयम- क्रियाओं का पालन करने वाला हो, बारह प्रकार के तप का साधन करने वाला हो और निरन्तर यत्न-शील हो उसी को अवधि- ज्ञान होता है । इस अवधि - - ज्ञान के द्वारा वह समग्र लौकिक मूर्त पदार्थों को देखता है और उससे उसके चित्त में शान्त- रसमयी समाधि का सञ्चार होता है । किन्तु यह बात सदैव ध्यान में रखनी चाहिए कि उक्त-गुण-सम्पन्न व्यक्ति को ही अवधि - ज्ञान और उसकी सहायता से पैदा होने वाली समाधि की प्राप्ति हो सकती है, अतः उक्त गुणों के सञ्चय के लिए पूर्ण प्रयत्न करना चाहिए ।
अब सूत्रकार अवधि - दर्शन का विषय वर्णन करते हैं:तवसा अवहटुलेस्सस्स दंसणं परिसुज्झइ ।
उड्ढं अहे तिरियं च सव्वमणुपस्सति ।। ६ ।।

तपसापहृत-लेश्यस्य दर्शनं परिशुद्ध्यति ।
ऊर्ध्वमधस्तिर्यक् च सर्वमनुपश्यति ।। ६ ।।
पदार्थान्वयः - तवसा - तप से अवहट्टु-लेस्सस्स - जिसने कृष्णादि अशुभ लेश्याओं को नाश या दूर किया हो उसका दंसणं-अवधि - दर्शन परिसुज्झइ - शुद्ध (निर्मल) हो जाता है और फिर वह उड्ढं-ऊर्ध्व-लोक अहे - अधोलोक च- और तिरियं तिर्यक् - लोक में रहने वाले जीवादि पदार्थों को सव्वं सब प्रकार से अणुपस्सति - देखता है ।
मूलार्थ - जिसने अशुभ लेश्याओं को तप से दूर किया है उसका अवधि-दर्शन निर्मल हो जाता है और फिर वह ऊर्ध्व-लोक, अधो-लोक और तिर्यक्-लोक में रहने वाले जीवादि पदार्थों को सब तरह से देखने लगता है ।

Through this Avadhi-Jnana, they perceive all material objects in the world, and their mind becomes filled with the peaceful bliss of Samadhi (meditation). However, it is crucial to remember that only an individual possessing these qualities can attain Avadhi-Jnana and the Samadhi that arises from it. Therefore, one should strive diligently to cultivate these qualities.
