इसके अनन्तर सूत्रकार अब सहायता-विनय का विषय वर्णन करते हैं:
से किं तं साहिल्लया ? साहिल्लया चउव्विहा पण्णत्ता, तं जहा-अणुलोम-वइ-सहिते यावि भवइ, अणुलोमकाय-किरियत्ता, पडिरूव-काय-संफासणया, सव्वत्थेसु अपडिलोमया । से तं साहिल्लया ।।२।। ___ अथ के यं सहायता? सहायता चतुर्विधा प्रज्ञप्ता, तद्यथा-अनुलोम-वाक्-सहितश्चापि भवति, अनुलोम-काय-क्रियावान्, प्रतिरूप-काय-संस्पर्शनता, सर्वार्थेष्वप्रतिलोमता । सेयं सहायता ।।२।।
पदार्थान्वयः-से किं तं-वह कौन सी साहिल्लया-सहायता है ? (गुरू कहते हैं) साहिल्लया-सहायता-विनय चउविहा-चार प्रकार का पण्णत्ता-प्रतिपादन किया है तं जहा-जैसे-अणुलोम-अनुकूल वइ-वचन सहिते यावि-तथा हितकारी वचन बोलने वाला भवइ-है अणुलोम-अनुकूल काय-किरियत्ता-कार्य-क्रिया करने वाला अर्थात् सेवा करने वाला पडिरूवकाय-प्रतिरूप काय से संफासणया-संस्पर्शनता अर्थात् जिस तरह दूसरे को सुख मिले उसी तरह उसकी सेवा करने वाला सव्वत्थेसु-गुरू आदि के सब कार्यों में अपडिलोमया-अकुटिलता । से तं-यही साहिल्लया-सहायता-विनय है ।
