मूलार्थ - हे भगवन् ! संग्रह-परिज्ञा नाम वाली सम्पदा कौन सी है ? हे शिष्य ! संग्रह - परिज्ञा नाम वाली सम्पदा चार प्रकार की वर्णन की गई है, जैसे- बहुत से मुनियों के, वर्षा ऋतु में निवास के लिए स्थान देखना, बहुत से मुनियों के लिए प्रातिहारिक पीठफलक, शय्या और संस्तारक ग्रहण करना, उचित समय पर ( समय के विभाग अनुसार ) प्रत्येक कार्य करना और अपने से बड़ों का मान तथा पूजा करना । यही संग्रह-परिज्ञा नाम वाली सम्पदा है ।

टीका - इस सूत्र में संग्रह - परिज्ञा नाम वाली आठवीं सम्पदा का वर्णन किया गया है । जैसे-गणी का कर्तव्य है कि निम्नलिखत क्रियाओं से गण का संग्रह (संगठन) करे; क्योंकि लौकिक व्यवहार में भी देखा जाता है कि जो जिसकी रक्षा कर सकता है वह उसके अधीन अवश्य ही हो जाता है, इसी प्रकार गण का अधिपति होने के लिए गणी को उसकी रक्षा का भार अपने ऊपर लेना ही चाहिए । अतः उसको योग्य है कि वह बहुत से मुनियों के वर्षाकाल में निवास के लिए क्षेत्रों का अवलोकन करे और बाल, दुर्बल, तपस्वी, योग- वाहक या रोगी मुनियों की सुविधाओं का विचार, क्षेत्र देखते समय, अवश्य रखे । जिससे उन्हें अन्न, पानी और औषध समयानुसार मिलते रहें । इसके अतिरिक्त जो शिष्य अध्ययन के इच्छुक हैं अथवा अध्ययन कर चुके हैं, उनके लिए भी उचित क्षेत्र होने चाहिएं, जिससे उनका चातुर्मास भी बिना किसी विघ्न के शान्ति - पूर्वक निभ सके । यदि उचित प्रबन्ध नहीं होगा तो बहुत सम्भव है, वे लोग स्वच्छन्दाचारी बन बैठें ।
उचित क्षेत्र अवलोकन के पश्चात् बहुत से मुनियों के लिए उपयोग के अनन्तर लौटाए जाने वाले, पीठफलक, शय्या और संस्तारक आदि का प्रबन्ध करना भी गणी का कर्तव्य है, क्योंकि वर्षा ऋतु में पीठफलक आदि की अतयन्त आवश्यकता है । इस ऋतु में अनेक जीव उत्पन्न हो जाते हैं । उनकी हिंसा न हो जाय, इसलिए वस्त्रादि उपकरणों का स्वच्छ रहना परम आवश्यक है । यदि वे मलिन रहेंगे तो उन में भी जीवोत्पत्ति की सम्भावना है और उससे जीव - विराधना सहज में हो सकती है, जो उभय-लोक में अनिष्ट करने वाली है । अतः वर्षा ऋतु में उक्त उपकरणों का प्रबन्ध गणी को अवश्य करना चाहिए ।

**Commentary:** This sutra describes the eighth wealth called "Sangrah-Parigya". For example, it is the duty of the Gani to organize the gana (group) through the following actions:
- In worldly affairs, it is observed that whoever can protect someone becomes their subordinate. Similarly, to be the leader of the gana, the Gani must take upon himself the responsibility of protecting it. Therefore, it is appropriate for him to observe areas for the residence of many monks during the rainy season. While observing the areas, he should consider the needs of the young, weak, ascetic, yogi-bearers, or sick monks. This ensures that they receive food, water, and medicine in a timely manner.
- Additionally, there should be suitable areas for disciples who are eager to study or have already studied, so that their Chaturmas can be peacefully observed without any obstacles. If there is no proper arrangement, it is very likely that these people will become free-spirited.

- After observing suitable areas, it is also the duty of the Gani to arrange for backrests, beds, and bedding, etc., for the use of many monks, which are to be returned after use. This is because backrests, etc., are extremely necessary during the rainy season. Many living beings are born during this season. To avoid harming them, it is essential that clothes and other equipment are kept clean. If they are dirty, there is a possibility of the birth of living beings in them, which can easily lead to the killing of living beings, which is harmful in both worlds.
