अब सूत्रकार सङ्घट्टन विषय की ही आशातना का निरूपण करते हैं:
सेहे रायणियस्स सिज्जा-संथारगं पाएणं संघट्टिता हत्येण अणणुतावित्ता (अणणुवित्ता) गच्छइ आसायणा भवइ सेहस्स ।।३१।।
शैक्षो रात्निकस्य शय्यां-संस्तारकं पादेन संघट्य हस्ते-नाननुताप्य (अननुज्ञाप्य) गच्छत्याशातना भवति शैक्षस्य ||३१।।
पदार्थन्वयः-सेहे-शिष्य रायणियस्स-रत्नाकर के सिज्जा-शय्या और संथारगं-संस्तारक (बिछौने) को पाएणं-पैर से संघट्टित्ता-संघट्ट (स्पर्श) कर हत्थेण-बिना हाथ जोड़े और अणणुतावित्ता -विना दोष को स्वीकार किये अथवा अणणुवित्ता-विना क्षमापन के गच्छइ-जाता है तो सेहस्स-शिष्य को आसायणा-आशातना भवइ-होती हैं ।
मूलार्थ-शिष्य रत्नाकर के शय्या और संस्तारक को पैर से स्पर्श कर विना अपराध स्वीकार किये और विना हाथ जोड़ कर क्षमापन किये हुए चला जाये तो उसको आशातना लगती है ।
टीका-इस सूत्र में बताया गया है कि यदि शिष्य बिना उपयोग के पैर से गुरू की शय्या और संस्तारक का संस्तारक का स्पर्श करे तो उसको क्या करना चाहिए । जैसे-यदि कदाचित् शिष्य का गुरू की शय्या और संस्तारक से पाद्-स्पर्श हो जाये तो उसको उचित है कि हाथ जोड़ कर गुरू से क्षमा प्रार्थना करे "हे भगवन् ! मेरा अपराध क्षमा कीजिए भविष्य में ऐसा अपराध नहीं करूंगा । यदि क्षमापन के विना ही वहां से चला जाये तो उसको विनय-भङ्ग से आशातना तो लगेगी ही, साथ ही देखने वालों के चित्त में उसके प्रति अश्रद्धा उत्पन्न हो जायगी । इसके अतिरिक्त समीप रहने वाले साधु-गण का भी उसके इस अविनय के अनुकरण से अविनयी होने का भय है ।
शिष्य को गुरू या रत्नाकर की महत्त्व-रक्षा का ध्यान सदैव रखना चाहिए । यदि वह गुरू के महत्त्व का किसी प्रकार भी तिरस्कार करेगा तो उसका गुरू से प्राप्त धर्मोपदेश कभी सफल नहीं हो सकता । अतः गुरू की महत्ता का तिरस्कार कभी नहीं करना चाहिए।

**Shaiksho Raatnikasya Shayyaam-Sanstaarakam Paadena Sanghaty Haste-Naananuutapya (Ananujaanya) Gacchatyāshātana Bhavati Shaikshasya ||31||**
