हिंसा के विविध कारण ___ मनुष्य विविध प्रयोजनों से जीव हिंसा करता है। कोई चमड़े के जूते, घड़ी के पट्टे,
कमर पट्टे, बैग, थैला, टोपी, कोट आदि बनाने के लिए जीवों का वध करता है। कोई ॐ चर्बी, मांस, रक्त, यकृत, हड्डी, दाँत आदि के लिए जीवों का वध करता है। कोई शहद
के लिए मधु मक्खी के छत्तों का विनाश करता है। सूअर के बाल, ब्रुश आदि के काम म आते हैं। जानवरों की खाल मनुष्य के वस्त्र आदि के काम आती है। मोर के पंखों से मोर ऊ पिच्छी बनती है, जिसे देवी-देवताओं की मूर्तियों के प्रमार्जन आदि के काम में लेते हैं।
इसके अतिरिक्त पहले जिन कारणों से हिंसा होती थी, उसमें वर्तमान युग में बहुत वृद्धि हो गई है। यह सभी कारण मनुष्य की पैशाचिक वृत्ति को प्रकट करते हैं। प्रस्तुत चित्र में हिंसा के विभिन्न प्रायोजन बताये गये हैं।

VARIOUS CAUSES OF VIOLENCE
Man causes violence to living beings for various reasons. Someone kills animals and get leather for making a variety of items including shoes, watchstraps, belts, purses, handbags, hats and dresses. Some people kill animals for fat, meat, blood, level, bones, teeth and horns. Others destroy beehives for honey. Pig hairs are used for a variety of brushes. Leather is used for dresses and other things of human use. Peacock feathers are used to make fans and brooms that have various uses including cleaning idols of gods and goddesses. Moreover in the modern world there has been a sizeable increase in the number causes of violence against living beings as compared with ancient times. All these causes reveal the evil attitude of man. The illustration presents different reasons for violence.
