४५९. पुरुष चार प्रकार के होते हैं - (१) कोई पुरुष दुर्गत है और दुर्गति को प्राप्त हुआ है। (२) कोई दुर्गत होकर भी सुगति को प्राप्त हुआ है । (३) कोई सुगत होकर भी दुर्गति को प्राप्त हुआ है। (४) कोई सुगत है और सुगति को ही प्राप्त हुआ है।

Purush (men) are of four kinds-(1) some man is durgat (poor) and has attained a bad birth also, (2) some man is durgat but has ! attained a good birth, (3) some man is sugat (wealthy ) but has attained a bad birth, and (4) some man is sugat and has attained a good birth also. तमः - ज्योति - पद TAMAH JYOTI-PAD (SEGMENT OF DARKNESS AND LIGHT)
४६०. चत्तारि पुरिसजाया पण्णत्ता, तं जहा - तमे णाममेगे तमे, तमे णाममेगे जोती, जोती णाममेगे तमे, जोती णाममेगे जोती ।

४६०. पुरुष चार प्रकार के होते हैं - (१) कोई पुरुष पहले भी तम ( अज्ञानी) होता है और
जीवनभर तम ( अज्ञानी) ही रहता है । (२) कोई पहले तम किन्तु पीछे ज्योति (ज्ञानी) हो जाता है। ५ (२) कोई पहले ज्योति किन्तु बाद में तम हो जाता है । (४) कोई पहले भी ज्योति (ज्ञानी) और बाद में
भी ज्योति (ज्ञानी) ही रहता है।

४६१. पुरुष चार प्रकार के होते हैं - (१) कोई पुरुष तम (अज्ञानी और दुष्ट चित्त वाला) होता है 5 और तमोबल ( अज्ञान और असदाचारमय जीवन वाला) रहता है। (२) कोई तम होकर भी ज्योतिर्बल (ज्ञान एवं सदाचार बल वाला) होता है। (३) कोई ज्योति होकर भी तमोबल वाला रहता है। (४) कोई 5 ज्योति और ज्योतिर्बल होता है।
