433. A newly born god in the divine realm soon wants to come to the land of humans but he is not able to do that for four reasons
(1) A newly born god in the divine realm gets fond of (murchhit), infatuated with (griddha), captivated by (grathit) and obsessed with (adhyupapanna) divine pleasures and does not have respect, liking, concern, and desire for human pleasures. Neither does he have sthitiprakalp or wish to live among them (humans).
(2) The love for humans of a newly born god shatters and he is infused with love for divine pleasures. ___ (3) A newly born god in the divine realm thinks-“I will just go. I will go soon. I will go in a moment." But the duration of this moment of gods is so long that during this period the short lived man (for whom he desired to visit) dies.
(4) A newly born god in the divine realm soon wants to come to the land of humans but the smell of the world of humans, which spreads four to five hundred Yojans above the land, is obnoxious (pratikool) and
disgusting (pratilom) to him. Although he wants to come down he cannot 41 do so because he is unable to tolerate it.
For these four reasons, a newly born god in the divine realm soon $ wants to come to the land of humans but he is unable to do so. ___४३४. चाहिं ठाणेहिं अहुणोववण्णे देवे देवलोएसु इच्छेज्ज माणुसं लोगं हव्यमागच्छित्तए, संचाएति हब्बमागच्छित्तए, तं जहा
(१) अहुणोववण्णे देवे देवलोगेसु दिब्बेसु कामभोगेसु अमुच्छिते जाव अणज्झोववण्णे, तस्स णं है एवं भवति-अस्थि खलु मम माणुस्सए भवे आयरिएति वा उवज्झाएति वा पवत्तीति वा थेरेति वा गणीति वा गणधरेति वा गणावच्छेदेति वा, जेसिं पभावणं मए इमा एतारूवा दिव्या देविड्डी दिव्वा ॥ देवजुत्ती [ दिव्वे देवाणुभावे ? ] लद्धा पत्ता अभिसमण्णागता तं गच्छामि णं ते भगवंते वंदामि जाव पज्जुवासामि।
(२) अहुणोववण्णे देवे देवलोएसु जाव [ दिव्येसु कामभोगेसु अमुच्छिते अगिद्धे अगढिते ] अणझोववण्णे, तस्स णं एवं भवति-एस णं माणुस्सए भवे णाणीति वा तवस्सीति वा अइदुक्करदुक्करकारगे, तं गच्छामि णं ते भगवंते वंदामि जाव [ णमंसामि सक्कारेमि सम्माणेमि कल्लाणं मंगलं देवयं चेइयं ] पज्जुवासामि।
