(bhaava) and dridha sharira-some man is mentally weak but physically 卐 strong. (3) Dridha (bhaava) and krish sharira-some man is mentally 卐 strong and physically weak. (4) Dridha (bhaava) and dridha sharirasome man is mentally strong and physically strong as well.
विवेचन-यहाँ भावों से कृश के अर्थ में कषायों की अल्पता अथवा उत्साह की मंदता आदि तथा ) शरीर की कृशता के अर्थ में दुर्बलता या तप के कारण शारीरिक क्षीणता का अर्थ भी किया जाता है ॐ और इसी प्रकार दृढ़ता का अर्थ समझना चाहिए। प्रथम भंग में, धन्ना अणगार, अर्जुन मुनि व आनन्द 卐 गाथापति का उदाहरण; दूसरे भंग में गुरु के समक्ष अँगुली तोड़कर फेंकने वाले उग्र कषायी तपस्वी मुनि
का, तीसरे भंग में भरत चक्रवर्ती आदि का गणधर का तथा चौथे भंग में मिथ्यादृष्टि और तपविहीन ॐ व्यक्ति का उदाहरण समझना चाहिए।
Elaboration—Here krish bhaava can also be interpreted as weakening of passions or lower intensity of enthusiasm towards passions; and krish
sharira as emaciated body due to austerities. And same analogy is for 卐 dridha (strong). Examples of the first alternative are ascetic Dhanna,
ascetic Arjuna and Anand Gathapati. Example of the second alternative is an ascetic with intense passions but observing rigorous austerities. Example of the third alternative is Bharat Chakravarti. Example of the fourth is an person having wrong faith and not observing austerities.
२५३. चत्तारि पुरिसजाया पण्णत्ता, तं जहा-(१) किससरीरस्स णाममेगस्स णाणदंसणे 5 समुप्पज्जति णो दढसरीरस्स, (२) दढसरीरस्स णाममेगस्स णाणदंसणे समुप्पज्जति णो

दर्शन की उपलब्धि होती है, किन्तु कृश शरीर वाले को नहीं; (३) किसी कृश शरीर वाले पुरुष को क ज्ञान-दर्शन की उपलब्धि होती है और दृढ़ शरीर वाले को भी; (४) किसी कृश शरीर वाले पुरुष को
भी ज्ञान-दर्शन की उपलब्धि नहीं होती और दृढ़ शरीर वाले को भी नहीं। fi 253. Purush (men) are of four kinds—(1) Some krish sharira
