१९९. तओ ठाणा णिस्सीलस्स णिगुणस्स णिम्मेरस्स णिप्पच्चक्खाणपोसहोववासस्स गरहिता वंति, तं जहा-अस्सिं लोगे गरहिते भवति, उववाते गरहिते भवति, आयाती गरहिता भवति।
१९९. शीलरहित, गुणरहित, मर्यादाहीन एवं प्रत्याख्यान तथा पौषधोपवास से विमुख पुरुष के जीन स्थान गर्हित होते हैं-(१) इहलोक (वर्तमान भव) गर्हित होता है, (२) उपपात (देव और नरक गति का जन्म) गर्हित होता है। (क्योंकि अकामनिर्जरा आदि कारणों से देवभव पाकर भी वह किल्विषिक
से निकृष्ट देवों में उत्पन्न होता है), तथा (३) आगामी जन्म (देव या नरक गति के पश्चात् होने वाला फ्रानुष्य या तिथंचभय) भी गर्हिस होता है, वहाँ भी उसे निम्न अवस्था प्राप्त होती है।
199. Three places of a person devoid of sheel (chaste disposition), una (noble qualities), maryada (discipline), pratyakhyan (perfect abstainment) and paushadhopavas (partial ascetic vow and fasting) are garhit (condemned)-(1) ihalok (present life) is condemned, (2) upapat is Sondemned (instantaneous birth in divine or infernal dimensions), and
3)agami is condemned (birth after next, i.e. as man or animal) प्रशस्त-स्थान-पद PRASHAST-STHAAN-PAD (SEGMENT OF GLORIOUS PLACES) . २००. तओ ठाणा सुसीलस्स सुब्बयस्स सगुणस्स समेरस्स सपच्चक्खाणपोसहोववासस्स पसस्था भवति, तं जहा-अस्सिं लोगे पसत्ये भवति, उवधाए पसत्थे भवति, आयाती पसत्था भवति।
२००. सुशील, सुव्रती, सद्गुणी, मर्यादायुक्त एवं प्रत्याख्यान-पौषधोपवास की आराधना करने वाले पुरुष के तीन स्थान प्रशस्त होते हैं-(१) इहलोक-(वर्तमान भव) प्रशस्त होता है, (२) उपपातप्रआगामी देवभव) प्रशस्त होता है, एवं (३) उससे भी आगे का जन्म प्रशस्त होता है। $ 200.
