ऊ से, बहुशाल नामक उद्यान से निकला, यावत् मस्तक पर कोरंटपुष्प की माला से युक्त छत्र धारण किए
हुए सुभटों इत्यादि के समूह से परिवृत होकर जहाँ क्षत्रियकुण्डग्राम नामक नगर था, वहाँ आया। वहाँ से वह क्षत्रियकुण्डग्राम के बीचोंबीच होता हुआ, जहाँ अपना घर था और जहाँ बाहर की उपस्थानशाला थी, वहाँ आया। वहाँ पहुँचते ही उसने घोड़ों को रोका और रथ को खड़ा कराया। फिर वह रथ से नीचे उतरा और आन्तरिक (अन्दर की) उपास्थानशाला (बैठक) में, जहाँ कि उसके माता-पिता थे, वहाँ आया। आते ही (माता-पिता के चरणों में नमन करके) उसने जय-विजय शब्दों से बधाया, फिर इस प्रकार कहा- 'हे माता-पिता ! मैंने श्रमण भगवान महावीर से धर्म सुना है, वह धर्म मुझे इष्ट, अत्यन्त इष्ट और रुचिकर प्रतीत हुआ है।'
31. When Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir said thus to Kshatriya youth Jamali, he was delighted and contented. He went around Bhagavan Mahavir three times ... and so on up to... paid homage. He then boarded the chariot with four bells and left Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir and Bahushalak garden ... and so on up to... with an umbrella embellished y with garlands of Korant flowers over his head and surrounded by a y group of many guards, attendants, guides etc., passed through Kshatriya Kundagram and arrived in the courtyard of his residence. There he reigned the horses and stopped the chariot. Then he got down from the
chariot and entered the inner hall where his parents were sitting. After 卐 greeting them and paying respect he said- “Father and mother! I have
been to the discourse of Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir. It has attracted
me, it has inspired me strongly and I have developed an affinity for it.” ॐ ३२. तए णं तं जमालिं खत्तियकुमारं अम्मापियरो एवं वयासि-धने सि णं तुमं जाया !, कयत्थे सि
णं तुमं जाया, कयपुण्णे सि णं तुमं जाया !, कयलक्खणे सि णं तुमं जाया !, जं णं तुमे समणस्स ॐ भगवओ महावीरस्स अंतियं धम्मे निसंते, से वि य ते धम्मे इच्छिए पडिच्छिए अभिरुइए।
३२. यह सुनकर क्षत्रियकुमार जमालि से उसके माता-पिता ने (प्रसन्नतापूर्वक) इस प्रकार कहा- हे ॐ पुत्र ! तू धन्य है ! बेटा ! तू कृतार्थ हुआ है। पुत्र ! तू कृतपुण्य (भाग्यशाली) है। पुत्र ! तू कृतलक्षण
(शुभ लक्षण) है कि तूने श्रमण भगवान महावीर स्वामी से धर्मश्रवण किया है और वह धर्म तुझे इष्ट, # विशेष प्रकार से अभीष्ट और रुचिकर लगा है।
32. On hearing this, the parents replied (with joy) to Jamali, the Kshatriya youth, -- "Son! You are to be commended. You are lucky and
blessed that you have heard the sermon of Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir 55 and found the same very impressive and inspiring."
३३. तए णं से जमाली खत्तियकुमारे अम्मा-पियरो दोच्च पि एवं वयासी-एवं खलु मए अम्म ! ॐ ताओ ! समणस्स भगवओ महावीरस्स अंतिए धम्मे निसंते जाव अभिरुइए। तए णं अहं अम्म ! ताओ !
