छद्मस्थ जीव वे होते हैं, जिन्हें केवलज्ञान प्राप्त नहीं हुआ है। ये जीव निम्नलिखित दस बातों को सर्वथा (सर्व पर्याय से) नहीं जानते, केवल सामान्य रूप से ही जानते हैं
छद्मस्थ ये 10 बातें सर्वथा नहीं जानता
1. धर्मास्तिकाय - जीव और पुद्गल की गति करने में सहायक जो द्रव्य है, उसे धर्मास्तिकाय कहते हैं। यह अरूपी है।

2. अधर्मास्तिकाय - जीव और पुद्गल को स्थिर रहने में सहायक जो द्रव्य है उसे अधर्मास्तिकाय कहते हैं। यह भी अरूपी है।
3. आकाशास्तिकाय - सब द्रव्यों को अवकाश (जगह) देने वाले द्रव्य को आकाशास्तिकाय कहते हैं। यह भी अरूपी है।
4. शरीर रहित जीव-केवल सिद्ध भगवान का होता है। वह भी अरूपी है।
5. परमाणु पुद्गल - वर्ण, गंध, रस, स्पर्श वाले रूपी द्रव्य, जिसके दो भाग नहीं हो सकते, ऐसे पदार्थ को परमाणु कहते हैं।
शब्द- जीव-अजीव की ध्वनि ।

9. यह जीव जिन होगा कि नहीं ?
10. यह जीव सब दुःखों का अंत करेगा ( सिद्ध होगा) या नहीं ?

CHHADMASTH DOES NOT FULLY KNOW TEN THINGS Chhadmasth is a living being short of omniscience. Such beings do not know and see the following ten things from all angles; they only know generally
(1) Dharmastikaaya - motion entity that helps matter to move. It is formless.
(2) Adharmastikaaya rest entity that helps matter in remaining stationary. It is formless. (3) Akashastikaaya space entity that provides place to things and entities. It is formless. (4) Asharira-pratibaddha jiva-un-embodied soul; this relates to Siddhas only. It is formless. (5) Paramanu-pudgala-ultimate particle of matter having properties of colour, smell, taste and touch; it is indivisible and has form.
( 6 ) Shabd - sound produced by the living as well as the non living.
(7) Gandh smell, both pleasant and foul.
(8) Vayu-air.
(9) Whether a soul will or will not become Jina?
(10) Whether a soul will or will not end all misery to become Siddha ?
