555555555555555555555555555555555558 4 telemigratory bodies too cannot be acquired at the same time. Therefore 4 a living being (soul) acquiring the bondage of gross physical body does $ not acquire bondage of transmutable and telemigratory bodies. On the
other hand fiery and karmic bodies are never separated from gross physical bodies. Therefore there is bondage of a part of these two types of bodies. The bondage of these two bodies is never that of the whole.
Why a living being acquiring bondage of a part of fiery and karmic bodies may and may not acquire bondage of gross physical body ? The
explanation for this is that the living being (soul) does not acquire this 1 bondage when he undergoes oblique movement (vigraha gati) at the time $1 of rebirth. He also does not acquire bondage of gross physical body while
he is in transmutable or telemigratory body. At all other times he acquires bondage. At the first Samaya of birth he acquires bondage of the whole and at the second and following Samayas he acquires bondage of a part. देश-सर्वबन्धकों एवं अबन्धकों का अल्पबहुत्व COMPARATIVE NUMBERS

[प्र. ] एएसि णं भंते ! जीवाणं ओरालिय-वेउब्बिय-आहारग-तेया-कम्मासरीरगाणं देसबंधगाणं सव्वबंधगाणं अबंधगाण य कयरे कयरेहिंतो जाव विसेसाहिया वा ? म [उ. ] गोयमा ! सव्वत्थोवा जीवा आहारगसरीरस्स सव्वबंधगा १। तस्स चेव देसबंधगा संखेज्जगुणा ॐ २। वेउब्वियसरीरस्स सबबंधगा असंखेज्जगुणा ३ । तस्स चेव देसबंधगा असंखेज्जगुणा ४। तेया-कम्मगाणं
दुण्ह वि तुल्ला अबंधगा अणंतगुणा ५। ओरालियसरीरस्स सव्वबंधगा अणंतगुणा ६। तस्स चेव अबंधगा

॥ अट्ठमसए : नवमो उद्देसओ समत्तो॥ १२९. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! इन औदारिक, वैक्रिय, आहारक, तैजस और कार्मणशरीर के देशबन्धक, सर्वबन्धक और अबन्धक जीवों में कौन किनसे कम, अधिक, तुल्य अथवा विशेषाधिक हैं ? _ [उ. ] गौतम ! (१) सबसे थोड़े आहारकशरीर के सर्वबन्धक जीव हैं, (२) उनसे उसी के
(आहारकशरीर) के देशबन्धक जीव संख्यातगुणे हैं, (३) उनसे वैक्रियशरीर के सर्वबन्धक ऊ असंख्यातगुणे हैं, (४) उनसे वैक्रियशरीर के देशबन्धक जीव असंख्यातगुणे हैं, (५) उनसे तैजस् और ऊ + कार्मण, इन दोनों शरीरों के अबन्धक जीव अनन्तगुणे हैं, ये दोनों परस्पर तुल्य हैं, (६) उनसे 5 F औदारिकशरीर के सर्वबन्धक जीव अनन्तगुणे हैं, (७) उनसे औदारिकशरीर के अबन्धक जीव ॐ विशेषाधिक हैं, (८) उनसे उसी (औदारिकशरीर) के देशबन्धक असंख्यातगुणे हैं, (९) उनसे तैजस् ॥
