22 परिषहों का अष्टविध कर्म में समावेश - 2
5. याचना परिषह - भिक्षा माँगने में होने वाला कष्ट । साधु को दूसरों (गृहस्थ ) के सामने वस्त्र, पात्र, आहार- पानी, दवाई आदि की याचना करनी पड़ती है, उससे मन में किसी प्रकार ग्लानि या दुःख उत्पन्न होना याचना परिषह है। 6. आक्रोश परिषह- कठोर, कर्कश वचनों से होने वाला परिषह । 7. सत्कार - पुरस्कार परिषह - जनता द्वारा मान-पूजा - सत्कार - प्रतिष्ठा, प्रसिद्धि पाने पर हर्षित होना और इसके न मिलने पर दुःखी होना ।
वेदनीय कर्म के उदय से ग्यारह परिषह होते हैं
1. क्षुधा परिषह - क्षुधा की चाहे जैसी वेदना उठने पर पाप भीरू साधु के द्वारा आहार पकाने पकवाने, फलादि का छेदन करने-कराने, खरीदने- खरीदवाने की वांछा से निवृत्त होकर अथवा अपनी स्वीकृत मर्यादा के विपरीत अनेषणीय-अकल्पनीय आहार न लेकर क्षुधा को समभावपूर्वक सहना क्षुधा परिषह है। 2. पिपासा परिषह- प्यास की चाहे जितनी और चाहे जहाँ (बस्ती में या अटवी में) वेदना होने पर भी तत्त्वज्ञ साधु द्वारा अंगीकृत मर्यादा के विरुद्ध सचित्त जल न लेकर समभावपूर्वक उक्त वेदना को सहना पिपासा - परिषह है । 3. शीत परिषह - शीत से अत्यंत पीड़ित होने पर भी साधु द्वारा मर्यादा- उपरान्त वस्त्र न लेकर तथा अग्नि आदि न जलाकर, न जलवा कर तथा अन्य लोगों द्वारा प्रज्वलित अग्नि का सेवन न
करके शीत के कष्ट को समभावपूर्वक सहना शीत परिषह है। (क्रमश:)
- शतक 8, उ. 8, सूत्र 27 INCLUSION OF 22 AFFLICTIONS IN EIGHT KARMA SPECIES - 2 (5) Yaachana-parishaha - Affliction related to alms seeking. An ascetic has to seek dress, pots, food, water, medicine etc. from householders. Rise of a feeling of sorrow or self-reproach is Yaachana-parishaha.
(6) Aakrosh-parishaha – Insult related affliction caused by harsh and hurtful words.
(7) Satkaar-puraskaar-parishaha - Affliction related to honour and prize. This includes joy when getting honour, worship, respect fame etc. and sorrow when not.
Shatak-8, lesson-8, Sutra-23-28 With fruition of Vedaniya karma are associated eleven afflictions -
(1) Kshudha-parishaha - Affliction of hunger when one, having no desire of getting food cooked or prepared or bought, does not get acceptable prescribed pure food; or in order to follow the resolves he has taken regarding food and endures the discomfort with equanimity. (2) Pipasa-parishaha - Affliction of thirst when one, in spite of being thirsty does not take unsuitable and non-prescribed water following the ascetic code regarding water and endures the discomfort with equanimity. (3) Sheet-parishaha Affliction of cold. Even when there is extreme cold an ascetic does not take additional clothing or arrange for fire himself or through others. He endures this cold with equanimity.
