गर्भसंहरण के चारों प्रकारों में से तीसरा प्रकार ही स्वीकार्य-मूल पाठ में गर्भापहरण के ४ तरीके विकल्प रूप में उठाए गये हैं, किन्तु हरिनैगमेषी द्वारा योनि द्वारा गर्भ को निकालकर दूसरी स्त्री के गर्भाशय में रखना-लोकप्रसिद्ध तीसरा तरीका ही अपनाया जाता है, क्योंकि यह लौकिक प्रथा है कि कोई भी गर्भ स्वाभाविक रूप से योनि द्वारा ही बाहर आता है।
Elaboration-Brief introduction of Harinaigameshi god-Hari is a name of Indra and naigam means command. He who follows the command of Indra is called Harinaigameshi. He is the commander of the army of foot-soldiers of Indra and also his emissary. It was he who transferred the embryo form of Bhagavan Mahavir from the womb of Devananda Brahmani to that of mother Trishala Devi at the command of Shakrendra. Besides Bhagavati Sutra the description of embryo transfer by Harinaigameshi is also available in Antakriddashanga (Chapter 7), Acharanga (Chulika of Bhaavana Adhyayan) and Kalpa Sutra.
The methods of embryo transfer-In the original text four alternative methods of embryo transfer have been stated. But Harinaigameshi employs the third method which is most suitable and traditionally accepted because the natural path of a fetus coming out of the womb is through the uterus. अतिमुक्तक मुनि ASCETIC ATIMUKTAK
१७. [१] तेणं कालेणं तेणं समएणं समणस्स भगवओ महावीरस्स अंतेवासी अइमुत्ते णामं कुमारसमणे पगइभद्दए जाव विणीए।
१७.[१] उस काल और उस समय में श्रमण भगवान महावीर के अन्तेवासी अतिमुक्तक नामक कुमारश्रमण (बालवय में दीक्षित) थे। वे प्रकृति से भद्र यावत् विनीत थे।
17. [1] Bhante ! During that period of time Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir had a young (kumar-shraman or initiated in adolescence) disciple named Atimuktak who was by nature gentle... and so on up to... polite.
[ २ ] तए णं से अइमुत्ते कुमारसमणे अन्नया कयाइ महावुट्टिकायंसि निवयमाणंसि कक्खपडिग्गहरयहरणमायाए बहिया संपढिए विहाराए। _[२] (दीक्षित होने के) पश्चात् वह अतिमुक्तक कुमारश्रमण किसी दिन महावृष्टिकाय (मूसलाधार वर्षा) पड़ रही थी, तब काँख = (बगल) में अपना रजोहरण तथा (हाथ में, झोली में) पात्र लेकर बाहर विहार (स्थण्डिल भूमिका में बड़ी शंका निवारण) के लिए गये।
