(Ans.) Gautam ! Harinaigameshi god does not lift an embryo from one $i womb and place it in another womb, nor does he take it out from one
womb and place it in another womb through the uterus, nor does he take it out from one womb through the uterus and place it in another womb also through the uterus. Instead, he takes it out from one womb through
the uterus, by touching the embryo with his hands, and places it 4 4i (directly) in the womb of another woman without causing any pain to the $ embryo in the process. गर्भ-संहरण का तरीका PROCEDURE OF EMBRYO TRANSFER
१६. [प्र.] पभू णं भंते ! हरिणेगमेसी सक्कस्स दूते इत्थीगभं नहसिरंसि वा रोमकूवंसि वा + साहरित्तए वा नीहरित्तए वा ?
[उ. ] हंता, पभू, नो चेव णं तस्स गन्भस्स किंचि वि आबाहं वा विबाहं वा उप्पाएज्जा, छविच्छेद पुण करेजा, एसुहुमं च णं साहरिज वा, नीहरिज वा।
१६. [प्र.] भगवन् ! क्या शक्र का दूत हरिनैगमेषी देव, स्त्री के गर्भ को नखाग्र (नख के सिरे) द्वारा, अथवा रोमकूप (छिद्र) द्वारा गर्भाशय में रखने या गर्भाशय से निकालने से समर्थ है ?
[उ. ] हाँ, गौतम ! हरिनैगमेषी देव उपर्युक्त रीति से कार्य करने में समर्थ है। (किन्तु ऐसा करते हुए) वह देव उस गर्भ को थोड़ी या बहुत, किञ्चित् मात्र भी पीड़ा नहीं पहुँचाता। हाँ, वह उस गर्भ का ॐ छविच्छेद (शरीर का छेदन-भेदन) करता है, और फिर उसे बहुत सूक्ष्म करके अंदर रखता है, अथवा + इसी तरह अंदर से बाहर निकालता है। ___16. [Q.] Bhante ! Is Harinaigameshi god, the emissary of Indra (Shakra), capable of taking out or putting in an embryo from the womb of a woman with the tip of his nail or through the pores ?
[Ans.] Yes, Gautam ! He is capable of doing so. But while doing so he does not cause any pain, less or more or even slightest. Although he cuts and separates the embryo at the time of taking out and putting in, but he does that with great precision.
विवेचन : हरिनैगमेषी देव का संक्षिप्त परिचय-'हरि', इन्द्र को कहते हैं-हरि = इन्द्र के, नैगम = आदेश को जो मानता है, वह हरिनैगमेषी, नामक देव। शक्रेन्द्र की पदाति (पैदल) सेना का वह नायक तथा शक्रदूत है। शक्रेन्द्र की आज्ञा से उसी ने भगवान महावीर की माता त्रिशलादेवी के गर्भ में देवानन्दा ब्राह्मणी के गर्भ से भगवान महावीर के गर्भ को संहरण करके स्थापित किया था। भगवतीसूत्र के अतिरिक्त हरिनैगमेषी द्वारा गर्भापहरण का वृत्तान्त अन्तकृद्दशांग (अ. ७) में, आचारांग भावना अध्ययन चूलिका में, तथा कल्पसूत्र में भी उल्लिखित है।
