6. [Q. 2] Bhante ! Why is it so that... and so on up to... blue soulcomplexioned infernal beings sometimes with much karmas?
[Ans.] It is in context of their remaining life-span that it is said that... and so on up to... blue soul-complexioned infernal beings sometimes with much karmas.
७. [ प्र. १ ] सिय भंते ! नीललेसे नेरइए अप्पकम्मतराए, काउलेसे नेरइए महाकम्मतराए ? [उ. ] हंता, सिया ।
[प्र. २] से केणट्टेणं भंते ! एवं वुच्चति 'नीललेसे अप्पकम्मतराए, काउलेसे नेरइए महाकम्मतराए' ?
[उ.] गोयमा ! टितिं पडुच्च, से तेणट्टेणं गोयमा जाव महाकम्मतराए ।
७. [ प्र. १ ] भगवन् ! क्या नीललेश्या वाला नैरयिक कदाचित् अल्पकर्म वाला होता है और कापोतलेश्या वाला नैरयिक कदाचित् महाकर्म वाला होता है ?
[उ. ] हाँ, गौतम ! कदाचित् ऐसा होता है।
[प्र. २ ] भगवन् ! आप किस कारण से ऐसा कहते हैं कि नीललेश्या वाला नैरयिक कदाचित् अल्पकर्म वाला होता है और कापोतलेश्या वाला नैरयिक कदाचित् महाकर्म वाला होता है ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! स्थिति की अपेक्षा ऐसा कहता हूँ कि यावत् (कापोतलेश्या वाला नैरयिक कदाचित्) महाकर्म वाला होता है।
7. [Q. 1] Bhante ! Are blue soul-complexioned (Neel leshya) infernal beings sometimes with less karmas (alpakarma) and pigeon soulcomplexioned (Kapot leshya) infernal beings sometimes with much karmas (mahakarma)?
[Ans.] Yes, Gautam! Sometimes it happens.

८. एवं असुरकुमारे वि, नवरं तेउलेसा अब्भहिया ।
८. इसी प्रकार असुरकुमारों के विषय में भी कहना चाहिए, परन्तु उनमें एक तेजोलेश्या अधिक होती है। (अर्थात् उनमें कृष्ण, नील, कापोत और तेजो; ये चार लेश्याएँ होती हैं ।)
