Those infernal and mobile beings that are reborn as mobile beings only, do not move outside the Tras-naadi, therefore as a rule they become ahaarak in the third Samaya. For example-Suppose a fish or other animal lives in the eastern part of Bharat area. If it dies there and is reborn in a hell below western Airavat area, then at the first Samaya it moves from east Bharat to west Bharat, in the second Samaya it moves to west Airavat and in the third Samaya it moves to the infernal world and gets born. Of these three Samayas it is anahaarak for first two and ahaarak at the third.

[ उ. ] गोयमा ! सुपतिट्ठिगसंठिए लोए पण्णत्ते, हेट्ठा वित्थिण्णे जाव उप्पिं उद्धमुइंगाकार संठिए । तंसि 5 च णं सासयंसि लोगंसि हेट्ठा वित्थिण्णंसि जाव उष्पिं उद्धमुइंगाकारसंर्टियंसि उप्पन्ननाणदंसणधरे अरहा जिणे केवली जीवे वि जाणति पासति, अजीवे वि जाणति पासति । ततो पच्छा सिज्झति जाव अंतं करेंति ।

Sarvalpahaarata-The purpose of food intake is creation and sustenance of body. The body of an ahaarak (with intake) at the first Samaya of birth is minute. Therefore at that moment a jiva (soul) is 6 sarvalpahaari (with minute food intake). Also at the last moment before death as the space-points of soul undergo contraction and are occupying a very small fraction of the body, the soul becomes sarvalpahaari. This statement is in context of non-voluntary food intake (anaabhog nivartit). (Vritti, leaf 287-288)

५. [ प्र. ] किंसंठिए णं भंते ! लोए पण्णत्ते ?
५. [.] भगवन् ! लोक का संस्थान (आकार) किस प्रकार का है ?
[ उ. ] गौतम ! लोक का संस्थान सुप्रतिष्ठिक (सकोरे) के आकार का है। वह नीचे विस्तीर्ण ( चौड़ा ) 5 है और क्रमशः ऊपर ऊर्ध्व मृदंग के आकार का है। ऐसे नीचे से विस्तृत ऊपर ऊर्ध्व मृदंगाकार इस शाश्वत लोक में उत्पन्न केवलज्ञान-दर्शन के धारक, अर्हन्त, जिन, केवली, जीवों को भी जानते और देखते हैं तथा अजीवों को भी जानते और देखते हैं। इसके पश्चात् वे सिद्ध, बुद्ध और मुक्त होते हैं, 5 यावत् सब दुःखों का अन्त करते हैं।
