卐 Pudgala occupying two or more space-points is with sections in 卐 $ context of area. It is also with sections in context of substance because a
pudgala without sections cannot occupy two or more space-points. Pudgala that is with sections in context of area is sometimes with sections and sometimes without sections in context of time and state.
Pudgalas that are with sections in context of time are with sections sometimes and without sections sometimes in context of substance, area and state.

१०. [प्र. ] 'भंते !' त्ति भगवं गोयमे समणं जाव एवं वयासी-जीवा णं भंते ! किं वड्टंति, म हायंति, अवट्ठिया ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! जीवा णो वड्ढंति, णो हायंति, अवट्ठिता।
१०. [प्र. ] 'भगवन् !' यों कहकर भगवान गौतम ने श्रमण भगवान महावीर से इस प्रकार पूछा“भगवन् ! क्या जीव बढ़ते हैं या घटते हैं या अवस्थित रहते हैं ?'' ।
[उ. ] गौतम ! जीव न बढ़ते हैं, न घटते हैं, किन्तु अवस्थित रहते हैं।
10. (Q.) "Bhante !" Addressing thus Bhagavan Gautam asked Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir as follows—“Bhante ! Do the living beings (jivas) increase (in number) or decrease or remain constant ?
(Ans.] Gautam ! The living beings (jivas) neither increase (in number) nor decrease but remain constant ?
११. [प्र. ] नेरइया णं भंते ! किं वड्ढंति, हायंति, अवट्ठिता ? [उ. ] गोयमा ! नेरइया वड्डंति वि, हायंति वि, अवट्ठिया वि। १२. जहा नेरइया एवं जाव वेमाणिया। ११. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! क्या नैरयिक बढ़ते हैं, घटते हैं, अथवा अवस्थित रहते हैं ? [उ. ] गौतम ! नैरयिक बढ़ते भी हैं, घटते भी हैं और अवस्थित भी रहते हैं।
१२. जिस प्रकार नैरयिकों के विषय में कहा, इसी प्रकार वैमानिक-पर्यन्त (चौबीस ही दण्डकों के जीवों के विषय में) कहना चाहिए।
