५. तए णं से नियंठिपुत्ते अणगारे नारयपुत्तं अणगारं एवं वयासी - जइ णं अज्जो ! दव्वादेसेणं सव्यपोग्गला सअड्ढा समज्झा सपएसा, नो अणड्ढा अमज्झा अपएसा; एवं ते परमाणुपोग्गले वि सअड्ढे समझे सपएसे, णो अणड्ढे अमज्झे अपएसे; जइ णं अज्जो ! खेत्तादेसेणवि सव्यपोग्गला स अड्ढा समज्झा सपएसा एवं ते एगपएसोगाढे वि पोग्गले सअड्ढे समज्झे सपएसे; जइ णं अज्जो ! कालादेसेणं 5 सव्यपोग्गला सअड्ढा समज्झा सपएसा; एवं ते एगसमयठिइ वि पोग्गले स अड्ढे, समज्झे, सपएसे तं चैव
जइ णं अज्जो ! भावादेसेणं सव्वपोग्गला सअड्ढा समज्झा सपएसा एवं ते एगगुणकालए वि पोग्गले 5 सअड्ढे ३ तं चैव अह ते एवं न भवइ, तो जं वदसि दव्वादेसेण वि सव्वपोग्गला सअउड्ढा, समज्झा सपदेसा नो अणड्ढा अमज्झा अपदेसा, एवं खेत्तादेसेण वि, कालादेसेणवि, भावादेसेण वि तं णं मिच्छा ।

[Ans.] Ascetic Narad-putra replied to ascetic Nirgranthiputra— “O noble one ! In my view, in context of substance (dravyadesh) all pudgalas (particles of matter and their aggregates) are with halves (sa-ardh), with a middle (sa-madhya) and with sections (sa-pradesh), 5 and not without halves (an-ardh), without a middle (a-madhya) and without sections (a-pradesh ). In context of area (kshetradesh ) also all pudgalas (particles of matter and their aggregates) are with halves (saardh), with a middle (sa-madhya) etc. The same also holds good for all pudgalas (particles of matter and their aggregates) in context of time (kaaladesh) as well as in context of state (bhaavadesh).

५. इस पर निर्ग्रन्थीपुत्र अनगार ने नारद पुत्र अनगार से इस प्रकार प्रतिप्रश्न किया- "हे आर्य ! तुम्हारे मतानुसार द्रव्यादेश से सभी पुद्गल यदि सार्द्ध, समध्य और सप्रदेश हैं, तो क्या तुम्हारे मतानुसार परमाणुपुद्गल भी इसी प्रकार सार्द्ध, समध्य और सप्रदेश हैं, किन्तु अनर्द्ध, अमध्य और अप्रदेश नहीं हैं ? और हे आर्य ! क्षेत्रादेश से भी यदि सभी पुद्गल सार्द्ध, समध्य और सप्रदेश हैं तो तुम्हारे मतानुसार एकप्रदेशावगाढ़ पुद्गल भी सार्द्ध, समध्य एवं सप्रदेश होने चाहिए ! और फिर हे
