continue to occupy the same space-points with his hands etc. in the future (shreya kaal) as well ?
(Ans.] Gautam ! That is not correct.
[प्र. २ ] से केण?णं भंते ! जाव केवली णं अस्सिं समयंसि जेसु आगासपदेसेसु हत्थं वा जाव चिट्ठति नो णं पभू केवली सेयकालंसि वि तेसु चेव आगासपदेसेसु हत्थं वा जाव चिट्ठित्तए ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! केवलिस्स णं वीरियसजोगद्दव्बयाए चलाई उवगरणाइं भवंति चलोवकरणट्ठयाए य णं केवली अस्सिं समयंसि जेसु आगासपदेसेसु हत्थं वा जाव चिट्ठति णो णं पभू केवली सेयकालंसि वि तेसु चेव जाव चिट्ठित्तिए। से तेणट्टेणं जाव बुच्चइ-केवली णं अस्सिं समयंसि जाव चिट्ठित्तए ? _[प्र. २ ] भगवन् ! किस कारण से ऐसा कहा जाता है कि केवली भगवान इस समय में जिन आकाशप्रदेशों पर अपने हाथ आदि को यावत् अवगाढ़ करके रहते हैं, भविष्यकाल में वे उन्हीं आकाशप्रदेशों पर अपने हाथ आदि को यावत् अवगाढ़ करके रहने में समर्थ नहीं हैं ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! केवली भगवान का जीवद्रव्य वीर्यप्रधान योग वाला होता है, (योगों की चंचलता के कारण) उनके हाथ आदि उपकरण (अंगोपांग) चलायमान (अस्थिर) होते हैं। हाथ आदि अंगों के चलित होते रहने से वर्तमान (इस) समय में जिन आकाशप्रदेशों में केवली भगवान अपने हाथ आदि को अवगाहित करके रहे हुए हैं, उनहीं आकाशप्रदेशों पर भविष्यकाल में वे हाथ आदि को अवगाहित करके नहीं रह सकते। इसी कारण से यह कहा गया है कि केवली भगवान इस समय में जिन आकाशप्रदेशों पर अपने हाथ, पैर यावत् उरू को अवगाहित करके रहते हैं, उस समय के पश्चात् आगामी समय में वे उन्हीं आकाशप्रदेशों पर अपने हाथ आदि को अवगाहित करके नहीं रह सकते।
[Q.2] Bhante ! Why is it said that Kevali Bhagavan, who occupies certain space-points with his hands... and so on up to... thighs at the present moment, cannot continue to occupy the same space-points in the future (shreya kaal) as well ?
[Ans.] The soul entity (jiva dravya) of Kevali Bhagavan is with potency-predominated (virya-pradhaan) association (yoga). His hands and other body-parts are vibrant (due to the dynamism of this association). Due to this vibration of hands and other parts of the body it is not possible that his hands and other parts continue to occupy the
me space-points, that they occupy at present, in the future as well. That is why it is said that Kevali Bhagavan, who occupies certain spacepoints with his hands... and so on up to... thighs at the present moment, cannot continue to occupy the same space-points in the future (shreya kaal) as well.
