म [१७-प्र. ३ ] भगवन् ! द्वीन्द्रिय जीव जिन पुद्गलों को आहाररूप से ग्रहण करते हैं, क्या वे उन सबका आहार कर लेते हैं ? अथवा उन सबका आहार नहीं करते?
[उ.] गौतम ! द्वीन्द्रिय जीवों का आहार दो प्रकार का है, जैसे कि-'रोमाहार' (रोमों द्वारा खींचा जाने वाला आहार) और 'प्रक्षेपाहार' (कौर, बूंद आदि रूप में मुँह आदि में डालकर किया जाने वाला)।
जिन पुद्गलों को वे रोमाहार द्वारा ग्रहण करते हैं, उन सबका पूर्ण रूप से आहार करते हैं। जिन ॐ पुद्गलों को प्रक्षेपाहार द्वारा ग्रहण करते हैं, उन पुद्गलों में से असंख्यातवाँ भाग आहार ग्रहण किया
जाता है और (शेष) अनेक-सहस्र भाग बिना आस्वाद किए और बिना स्पर्श किये ही नष्ट हो जाते हैं। ki [17—Q. 3] Bhante ! Of the matter taken by two-sensed beings do they $ consume it all or do they not consume all of it?
[Ans.) Gautam ! The intake by two-sensed beings is of two kindsRomahar intake through pores) and Prakshepahar (intake through mouth in the form of morsel or pouring). Matter particles taken through pores is consumed completely. Of the matter particles taken as morsels through mouth only innumerable fraction is consumed and the remaining portion that is many times more gets destroyed without being tasted or touched. __ [१७-प्र. ४ ] एतेसिं णं भंते ! पोग्गलाणं अणासाइज्जमाणाणं अफासाइजमाणाणं य कयरे कयरेहितो अप्पा वा ४ ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! सव्वत्थोवा पुग्गला अणासाइजमाणा, अफासाइज्जमाणा अणंतगुणा।
[१७-प्र. ४ ] भगवन् ! इन बिना आस्वादन किये हुए और बिना स्पर्श किये हुए पुद्गलों में से कौन-से पुद्गल, किन पुद्गलों से अल्प हैं, [बहुत हैं, अथवा तुल्य हैं, या विशेषाधिक हैं।] म [उ. ] गौतम ! आस्वाद में नहीं आए हुए पुद्गल सबसे थोड़े हैं, (जबकि) स्पर्श में नहीं आये हुए पुद्गल उनसे अनन्तगुणा हैं।
(17–Q. 4) Bhante ! Of these not tasted and not touched matter 卐 particles which are less (or more or equal or much more) than the other ?
(Ans.] Gautam ! The untasted matter particles are minimum whereas the untouched matter particles are infinite times more. __ [१७-प्र. ५ ] बेइंदिया णं भंते ! जे पोग्गले आहारत्ताए गिण्हंति ते णं तेसिं पुग्गला कीस्ताए ॐ भुज्जो भुज्जो परिणमंति ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! जिभिदिय-फासिंदिय-वेमायत्ताए भुज्जो भुज्जो परिणमंति। [१७-प्र. ६ ] बेइंदियाणं भंते ! पुब्बाहारिया पुग्गला परिणया ? [उ. ] तहेव जाव चलियं कम्मं निज्जरेंति।
