[१-प्र. ४ ] नेरइयाणं भंते ! (१) पुवाहारिता पोग्गला परिणता, (२) आहारिता आहारिज्जमाणा पोग्गला परिणता, (३) अणाहारिता आहारिज्जिस्समाणा पोग्गला परिणया, (४) अणाहारिया अणाहारिजिस्समाणा पोग्गला परिणया ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! (१) नेरइयाणं पुवाहारिता पोग्गला परिणता, (२) आहारिता आहारिज्जमाणा पोग्गला परिणता परिणमंति य, (३) अणाहरिता आहारिजिस्समाणा पोग्गला नो परिणता, परिणमिस्संति, (४) अणाहारिया अणाहारिज्जिस्समाणा पोग्गला नो परिणता, नो परिणमिस्संति।
[१-प्र. ४ ] भगवन् ! (१) नैरयिकों द्वारा पहले आहार किये हुए पुद्गल (शरीर रूप में) परिणत हुए हैं, (२) आहारित (आहार किये हुए), तथा (वर्तमान में) आहार किये जाते हुए पुद्गल परिणत हुए हैं, (३) अथवा जो पुद्गल अनाहारित आहार के रूप में ग्रहण नहीं किये गये हैं, वे तथा जो पुद्गल ; (भविष्य में) आहार के रूप में ग्रहण किये जायेंगे, वे परिणत हुए, (४) अथवा जो पुद्गल अनाहारित हैं । और आगे भी आहारित (आहार के रूप में) नहीं होंगे, वे परिणत हुए?
[उ. ] हे गौतम ! (१) नारकों द्वारा पहले आहार किये हुए पुद्गल परिणत हुए, (२) (इसी तरह) आहार किये और आहार किये जाते हुए पुद्गल परिणत हुए, परिणत होते हैं, (३) किन्तु नहीं आहार किये हुए (अनाहारित) पुद्गल परिणत नहीं हुए तथा भविष्य में जो पुद्गल आहार के रूप में ग्रहण किये जायेंगे, वे परिणत होंगे, (४) अनाहारित पुद्गल परिणत नहीं हुए, तथा जिन पुद्गलों का आहार नहीं किया जायेगा, वे भी परिणत नहीं होंगे।
[1-Q. 4) Bhante ! (1) In case of infernal beings, did the matter ingested in the past transform (parinat) (into body)? (2) Does the matter ingested and being ingested at present transform ? (3) Does the matter not ingested in the past but likely to be ingested in future transform ? (4) Does the matter neither ingested in the past nor likely to be ingested in future transform?
(Ans.) Gautam ! (1) In case of infernal beings, the matter ingested in the past has transformed (into body). (2) The matter ingested and being ingested at present transforms and gets transformed. (3) The matter not ingested in the past has not transformed and that likely to be ingested in future will transform. (4) The matter neither ingested in the past nor 45 likely to be ingested in future did not and will not transform.
[१-प्र. ५ ] नेरइयाणं भंते ! पुवाहारिया पोग्गला चिता. पुच्छा। [उ. ] जहा परिणता तहा चिया वि। एवं उवचिता, उदीरिता, वेदिता, निजिण्णा। गाहा-परिणता चिता उवचिता उदीरिता वेदिया य निजिण्णा।
