'हे गौतम !' इस प्रकार सम्बोधन करके श्रमण भगवान महावीर ने तृतीय गौतम वायुभूति अनगार से इस प्रकार कहा - ' गौतम ! द्वितीय गौतम अग्निभूति अनगार ने तुमसे जो इस प्रकार कहा, भाषित किया, बतलाया और प्ररूपित किया कि 'हे गौतम ! असुरेन्द्र असुरराज चमर ऐसी महाऋद्धि वाला है; इत्यादि उसकी अग्रमहिषियों तक का समग्र वर्णन । हे गौतम ! यह कथन सत्य है । मैं भी इसी तरह 5 कहता हूँ, भाषण करता हूँ, बतलाता हूँ, और प्ररूपित करता हूँ कि असुरेन्द्र असुरराज चमर 卐 महाऋद्धिशाली है, इत्यादि उसकी अग्रमहिषियों तक का समग्र वर्णनरूप द्वितीय गम (आलापक) यहाँ फ कहना चाहिए। (अतः हे गौतम! द्वितीय गौतम अग्निभूति द्वारा कथित) यह बात सत्य है।'

8. These words said, asserted, elaborated and propagated by ascetic Agnibhuti failed to evoke faith, trust and interest in the third Gautam, ascetic Vayubhuti. Therefore, having no faith, trust and interest in the said statement, the third Gautam, ascetic Vayubhuti got up and came 5 卐 where Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir was seated. Arriving there... and so on up to... did his worship and submitted-Bhante! Ascetic Agnibhuti, the second Gautam, has said, asserted, elaborated and propagated to me 卐 5 that— 'So great is the opulence of Chamarendra, the Indra (overlord) of 5 Asurs that he reigns over 3.4 million divine abodes (etc.).' (All aforesaid description up to his retinue and queens should be repeated here.) Bhante ! Is it so?

“0 Gautam !” Addressing thus, Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir said to ascetic Vayubhuti, the third Gautam - Gautam ! Ascetic Agnibhuti, the 5 second Gautam, said, asserted, elaborated and propagated to that— you So great is the opulence of Chamarendra, the Indra (overlord) of Asurs... वंदित्ता, नमसित्ता जेणेव दोच्चे गोयमे अग्गिभूती अणगारे तेणेव उवागच्छइ, उवागच्छित्ता दोच्चं गोयमं 5 अग्गिभूतिं अणगारं बंदइ नम॑सति, वंदित्ता, नमंसित्ता एयमट्ठ सम्मं विणएणं भुज्जो भुज्जो खामेति ।
९. 'हे भगवन् ! यह इसी प्रकार है; (जैसा आप फरमाते हैं) भगवन् ! यह इसी प्रकार है'; यों कहकर तृतीय गौतम वायुभूति अनगार ने श्रमण भगवान महावीर को वन्दन - नमस्कार किया और फिर जहाँ द्वितीय गौतम अग्निभूति अनगार थे, वहाँ उनके निकट आये। वहाँ आकर द्वितीय गौतम 5
