In other words it is the period starting from the moment one infernal being dies and up to the moment when just one being remains. Comparison of the duration of three periods-Mishra kaal is said to be infinite times longer than Ashunya kaal because duration of Ashunya kaal is just twelve Muhurt whereas in context of passage to plant-bodied beings Mishra kaal is infinite times more.
