जलधारा को विसर्जित करनेवाले मेघों की ध्वनि, संगत सुभग, पास में बैठी हुई स्त्री। णिग्गल मन्दिर, और कुरुभूमि में अनिन्द्य आर्जव नारी के उदर में अवतरित हुए॥१॥ पवित्र भूमिभाग, दौड़ता हुआ वेगशील प्रणाली जल। इष्ट गोष्ठियों और विशिष्टों के द्वारा विज्ञापित दिव्य गन्धर्वगान और प्राकृतकाव्य। बिजलियों से स्फुरित आकाश और दिशापथ, ये भी मेघों के आगमन पर उसे नौ माह में गर्भ से निकलने पर, शुभ चरित का संचय करनेवाले, उन दोनों के ऊँचा मुंह कर रहते हुए (श्रीमती को) अच्छे लगे। जब उसका बहुत समय बीत गया तो एक दिन, उसने घर में धूप दी। उसके धुएँ और हाथ की अँगुलियों को पीते ( चूसते) हुए सात दिन बीत गये। सात दिन घुटनों के बल चलते हुए फिरने उन्हें कानों के छेद में आहत कर दिया। उस दम्पति का एक क्षण में जीव चला गया। क्या मनुष्य मृत्यु फिर उठते-पड़ते हुए, सात दिन कुछ पद-वचन बोलते हुए और एक-दूसरे के साथ कुछ क्रीड़ा करते हुए बीत का कारण चाहता है? आयु का क्षय होने पर शिरीष पुष्प भी शस्त्र का काम करता है?
