लोग यह क्यों कहते हैं कि स्वभाव की दवा नहीं होती। जिसका नाम समुद्र है ( सायर सागर); वह अवश्य ही अपने स्वामी से सायर (सादर) बात करता है ।। १४ ।।

जो तरुणियों के अंगों की तरह सलवण (लावण्यमय, सौन्दर्यमय) है, और जिसके किनारों के लतावन सिंचित हैं, ऐसे समुद्रजलों में बारह योजन तक प्रवेश कर और वहीं स्थित होकर अपने लाल-लाल तथा क्रोध से भरे हुए नेत्रों से शुभ भवन को देखकर धनुर्धारी राजा ने अपने धनुष को आस्फालित किया। उससे तारा ग्रह और पतंग (सूर्य) आन्दोलित हो उठे। जिसमें बिलों से नाग निकल आये हैं, ऐसी धरती चलित हो गयी। अपने बन्धनों को खींचते हुए और काँपते हुए शरीरवाले सूर्य के घोड़े त्रस्त होकर नष्ट हो गये। पर्वत धरण (इन्द्र) और वरुण थर्रा उठे। यम, वैश्रवण और यम आशंकित हो उठे। नदी, सरोबर और समुद्र का जल संचालित हो उठा, जिनके आलानस्तम्भ मुड़ गये हैं ऐसे मैगल हाथी भाग गये पुरवर, परकोटे और घर गिर पड़े। भय से भ्रान्त शरीर कायर नर मर गये श्रेष्ठ वीरों ने अपनी तलवारों पर दृष्टि डाली। दूसरे
कहने लगे कि हा, सृष्टि नष्ट हो गयी। दर्पिष्ठ, दुष्ट! बाहुबल का मर्दन करनेवाला, योद्धाओं को डरानेवाला वह भयंकर शब्द ऐसा लगता है कि क्या मन्दराचल का शिखर अपने स्थान से खिसक गया है? क्या विश्व को निगलने के लिए काल ने अट्टहास किया है?
घत्ता - पाताललोक में नागेन्द्र और धरती पर नरेन्द्र तथा स्वर्ग में सुरेन्द्र काँप उठे। अत्यन्त गम्भीर धनुष की डोरी की टंकार से किसका हृदय भयाक्रान्त नहीं हुआ ? ।। १५ ।।

धनुर्वेद के अनुसार ज्ञात और निश्चित मानवाला बाण राजा भरत ने किसी अनुपम स्थान को लक्ष्य बनाकर प्रेषित किया, मानो काल ने भास्वर कालदण्ड प्रेषित किया हो। प्रलय की आग की लीलावाला वह बाण धम्मुज्झित (धर्म और डोरी से मुक्त), कुशील की तरह मानो गुणकोटि से (गुणों की परम्परा से मुक्त, डोरी और धनुष
