महापुराणे उत्तरपुराणम् एवं प्रतिसहस्राब्द तत्र विंशतिकल्किषु । गतेषु तेषु पापिष्ठः पश्चिमो जलमन्थनः ॥ ४३१ ॥ राज्ञां स भविता नाम्ना तदा मुनिंषु पश्चिमः। 'चन्दाचार्यस्य शिष्यः स्यान्मुनिर्वीराङ्गजाह्वयः ॥४३२॥ सर्वश्रीरायिकावर्गे पश्चिमः श्रावकोत्तमः । अग्निलः फल्गुसेनाख्या श्राविका चापि सद्बता ॥ ४३३ ॥ एते सर्वेऽपि साकेतवास्तव्या दुष्षमान्त्यजाः । सत्सु पञ्चमकालस्य त्रिपु वर्षेष्वथाष्टसु ॥ ४३४ ॥ मासेष्वहःसु मासार्धमितेषु च सुभावनाः । कार्तिकस्यादिपक्षान्ते पूर्वाह्ने स्वातिसङ्गमे ॥ ४३५ ॥ वीराङ्गजोऽग्निलः सर्वश्रीस्यक्त्वा श्राविकापि सा । देहमायुश्च सद्धर्माद् गमिष्यन्त्यादिमां दिवम् ॥४३॥ मध्याह्ने भूभुजो ध्वंसः सायाह्ने पाकभोजनम् । षटकर्मकुलदेशार्थहेतुधर्माश्च मूलतः ॥ ४३७ ॥ साधं स्वहेतुसम्प्राप्तौ प्राप्स्यन्ति विलयं ध्वम् । ततोऽतिदुषमादौ स्युविंशस्यब्दपरायुषः ॥ १३८ । नरोऽर्धाभ्यधिकारस्नित्रयमानशरीरकाः । सतताहारितः पापा गतिद्वयसमागताः ॥ ४३९ ॥ पुनस्तदेव यास्यन्ति तिर्यनारकनामकम् । कार्पासवसनाभावाद् गतेष्वन्देषु केषुचित् ॥ ४४०॥ पर्णादिवसनाः कालस्यान्ते नमा यथेप्सितम् । चरिष्यन्ति फलादीनि दीनाः शाखामृगोपमाः ॥ ४४१॥ एकविंशतिरब्दानां सहस्त्राण्यल्पवृष्टयः। जलदाः कालदोषेण कालो हि दुरतिक्रमः ॥ ४४२॥ क्रमाद्वीबलकायायुरादिहासो भविष्यति । प्रान्ते षोडशवर्षायु विनो हस्तदेहकाः ॥ ४४३॥ अस्थिरायशुभान्येव प्रफलिष्यन्ति नामसु । कृष्णा रूक्षतनुच्छाया दुर्भगा दुस्वराः खलाः ॥४४॥ दुरीक्ष्या विकटाकारा दुर्बला विरलद्विनाः । निमग्नवक्षोगण्डाक्षिदेशाश्चिपुटनासिकाः ॥ ४४५॥
४३० ।। इस प्रकार दुष्षमा नामक पञ्चम कालमें एक एक हजार वषके बाद जब क्रमशः बीस कल्कि हो चुकेंगे तब अत्यन्त पापी जलमन्थन नामका पिछला कल्कि होगा। वह राजाओंमें अन्तिम राजा होगा अर्थात् उसके बाद कोई राजा नहीं होगा। उस समय चन्द्राचार्यके शिष्य वीराङ्गज नामके मुनि सबसे पिछले मुनि होंगे, सर्वश्री सबसे पिछली आर्यिका होंगी, अग्निल सबसे पिछला श्रावक होगा और उत्तम व्रत धारण करनेवाली फल्गुसेना नामकी सबसे पिछली श्राविका होगी।। ४३१४३३॥ वे सब अयोध्याके रहनेवाले होंगे, दुषमा कालके अन्तिम धर्मात्मा होंगे और पश्चम कालके जब सादेआठ माह बाकी रह जायेंगे तब कार्तिक मासके कृष्णपक्षके अन्तिम दिन प्रातःकालके समय स्वातिनक्षत्रका उदय रहते हुए वीराङ्गज मुनि, अग्निल श्रावक, सर्वश्री आर्यिका और फल्गुसेना श्राविका ये चारों ही जीव, शरीर तथा आयु छोड़कर सद्धर्मके प्रभावसे प्रथम स्वर्गमें जावेंगे। मध्याह्नके समय राजाका नाश होगा, और सायंकालके समय अग्निका नाश होगा। उसी समय षट्कर्म, कुल, देश और अर्थके कारणभूत धर्मका समूल नाश हो जावेगा। ये सब अपने-अपने कारण मिलने पर एक साथ विनाशको प्राप्त होंगे। तदनन्तर अतिदुःषमा काल आवेगा। उसके प्रारम्भमें मनुष्य बीस वषेकी आयुवाले, साढ़ेतीन हाथ ऊँचे शरीरके धारक, निरन्तर आहार करनेवाले पापी, नरक अथवा तिर्यञ्च इन दो गतियोंसे आनेवाले और इन्हीं दोनों गतियोंमें जानेवाले होंगे। कपास और वस्त्रोंके अभावसे कुछ वर्षों तक तो वे पत्ते आदिके वस्त्र पहिनेंगे परन्तु छठवें कालके अन्न समयमें वे सब नग्न रहने लगेंगे और बन्दरोंके समान दीन होकर फलादिका भक्षण करने लगेंगे ॥ ४३४-४४१ ।। कालदोषके कारण मेघोंने इक्कीस हजार वर्ष तक थोड़ी थोड़ी वर्षा की सो ठीक ही है क्योंकि कालका कोई उल्लंघन नहीं कर सकता ॥४४२ ॥ मनुष्योंकी बुद्धि बल काय और श्रायु आदिका अनुक्रमसे ह्रास होता जावेगा। इस कालके अन्तिम समयमें मनुष्योंकी आयु सोलह वर्षकी और शरीरकी ऊँचाई एक हाथकी रह जावेगी॥४४३ ।। उस समय नामकर्मकी
मेंसे अस्थिर आदि अशुभ प्रकृतियाँ ही फल देंगी। उस समयके मनुष्य काले रङ्गके होंगे, उनके शरीरकी कान्ति रूखी होगी, वे दुर्भग, दुःस्वर, खल, दुःखसे देखनेके याग्य, विकट आकारवाले, दुर्बल तथा विरल दाँतोंवाले होंगे। उनके वक्षःस्थल, गाल और नेत्रोंके स्थान, भीतरको फँसे होंगे, उनकी नाक चपटी होगी, वे सब प्रकारका सदाचार छोड़ देंगे, भूख प्यास आदिसे पीड़ित

After that, the Ati-Dushama Kalpa will arrive. At its beginning, humans will have a lifespan of twenty years, be three and a half hands tall, constantly eat, be sinful, and come from and go to either hell or the animal realm. Due to the lack of cotton and clothes, for some years, they will wear leaves and other things, but at the end of the sixth Kalpa, they will all become naked and, like monkeys, will be miserable and eat fruits and other things.

Due to the fault of time, the clouds will rain very little for twenty-one thousand years. This is only right, because time cannot be violated. The intelligence, strength, body, and lifespan of humans will gradually decline. At the end of this Kalpa, humans will have a lifespan of sixteen years and be one hand tall.

At that time, only the unstable and inauspicious qualities of karma will bear fruit. The people of that time will be black, their bodies will be rough, they will be unfortunate, have bad voices, be wicked, difficult to look at, have ugly forms, be weak, have sparse teeth, their chests, cheeks, and eyes will be sunken, and their noses will be flat. They will abandon all good conduct and be tormented by hunger, thirst, etc.
