________________ ४५२ महापुराण उत्तरपुराणम् ते सर्वेऽपि पुरोपातपुण्यपाकविशेषतः। अभीष्टकामभोगीपभोगैस्तृप्ताः स्थिताः सुखम् ॥ १३ ॥ इतः खेचरभूभर्तुर्दक्षिणश्रेण्यलंकृतिः । रथनूपुरशब्दादिचक्रवालपुरी परा ॥ १३ ॥ ज्वलनादिजटी पाति तां स वा पाकशासनः । कुलसाधितसम्प्राप्तविद्यात्रयविभूषितः ॥ १३२ ॥ प्रतापोपनताशेषावाक्छ्रेणीखचरेशिनाम् । विनमन्मौलिमालाभिरलंकृतपदाम्बुजः ॥ १३३ ॥ वायुवेगा प्रिया तस्य चन्द्राभखचरेशिनः । सुभद्रायाश्च तनया पुरे श्रुतिलकाह्वये ॥ १३४ ॥ अर्ककीर्तिस्तयोः सूनुः प्रतापेनार्कजित्सुधीः । सुता स्वयम्प्रभाख्याभूत्प्रभयेव महामणिः ॥ १३५ ॥ स्त्रीलक्षणानि सर्वाणि शस्यान्यापादमस्तकम् । उदाहरणतामापन्न्याप्य व्यकानि तत्तनुम् ॥ १३६ ॥ सम्प्राप्य यौवनं तन्वी भूषणानाञ्च भूषणम् । योषित्सर्गे कृतार्थत्वं स्वयासावनय द्विधिम् ॥ १३७ ॥ तां वीक्ष्यापूर्णसौन्दयां समीपीकृतचित्तजाम् । पिता वितरितुं कस्य योग्येयमिति चिन्तयन् ॥ १३८॥ तदैवाहूय सम्भिन्नश्रोतारं तत्प्रयोजनम् । अपृच्छत्स निमिरोषु कुशलः समभाषत ॥ १३९ ॥ केशवस्यादिमस्येयं महादेवी भविष्यति । त्वमप्याप्स्यसि तहतां खगानां चक्रवर्तिताम् ॥ १४॥ इति तद्वचनं चित्रो प्रत्येयमवधार्य सः । अमात्यमिन्द्रनामानं भाक्तिकं सुश्रुतं शुचिम् ॥ ११ ॥ सलेखं प्राभृतं दत्वा प्राहिणोत्पोदन प्रति । गत्वाऽविलम्बितं सोऽपि वने "पुष्पकरण्डके ॥ १४२ ॥ पोदनाधिपतिं सप्रणाममालोक्य पत्रकम् । सप्राभूतं प्रदायास्मै यथास्थानमुपाविशत् ॥ १४३ ॥ विलोक्य मुद्रामुद्भिद्य तदन्तःस्थितपत्रकम् । प्रसार्य वाचयामास नियुक्तः सन्धिविग्रहे ॥ १४४॥ भ्रमणकर तथा अत्यन्त दुखी होकर अनेक दुराचार करनेवाला उन दोनोंके अश्वग्रीव नामका पुत्र हुआ ॥ १२८-१२६ ॥ वे सब, पूर्वोपार्जित पुण्य कर्मके विशिष्ट उदयसे प्राप्त हुए इच्छित काम मोग तथा उपभोगोंसे संतुष्ट होकर सुखसे रहते थे ।। १३०॥ इधर विजयाध पर्वतकी दक्षिण श्रेणीको अलंकृत करनेवाला 'रथनूपुर चक्रवाल' नामका एक श्रेष्ठ नगर था ।। १३१ ।। इन्द्रके समान ज्वलनजटी नामका विद्याधर उसका पालन करता था। वह ज्वलनजटी, कुल परम्परासे आई हई.पद्ध की हुई तथा किसीसे प्राप्त हुई इन तीन विद्याओंसे विभूषित था ॥ १३२॥ उसने अपने प्रतापसे दक्षिण श्रेणीके समस्त विद्याधर राजाओंको वश कर लिया था इसलिए उनके नम्रीभूत मुकुटोंकी मालाओंसे उसके चरणकमल सदा सुशोभित रहते थे ।। १३३ ॥ उसकी रानीका नाम वायुवेगा था जो कि तिलक नगरके राजा विद्याधर और सुभद्रा नामक रानीकी पुत्री थी ॥१३४ । उन दोनोंके अपने प्रतापसे सूर्यको जीतनेवाला अर्ककीर्ति नामका पुत्र हुआ था और स्वयंप्रभा नामकी पुत्री हुई थी जो कि अपनी कान्तिसे महामणिके समान सुशोभित थी ॥ १३५ ।। उस स्वयंप्रभाके शरीरमें शिरसे लेकर पैर तक खियोंके समस्त सुलक्षण विद्यमान थे जो कि उसके शरीरमें व्याप्त होकर उदाहरणताको प्राप्त हो रहे थे ।। १३६ ।। आभूषणोंको भी सुशोभित करनेवाले यौवनको पाकर उस स्वयंप्रभाने अपने आपके द्वारा, विधाताको स्त्रियोंकी रचना करनेके कार्यमें कृतकृत्य बना दिया था॥ १३७ ।। उसे पूर्ण सुन्दरी तथा कामको निकट बुलानेवाली देख पिता उवलनजटी विचार करने लगा कि यह किसे देनी चाहिये ? किसके देनेके योग्य है? ॥ १३८ ।। उसी समय उसने संभिन्नश्रोता नामक पुरोहितको बुलाकर उससे वह प्रयोजन पूछा। वह पुरोहित निमित्तशास्त्रमें बहुत ही कुशल था इसलिए कहने लगा कि यह स्वयंप्रभा पहले नारायणकी महादेवी होगी और आप भी उसके द्वारा दिये हुए विद्याधरोंके चक्रवर्ती पदको प्राप्त होंगे। १३६१४०॥ उसके इस प्रकार विश्वास करने योग्य वचन चित्तमें धारणकर उसने पवित्र हृदयवाले, शालोंके जानकार और राजभक्त इन्द्र नामक मन्त्रीको लेख तथा भेंट देकर पोदनपुरकी ओर भेजा। वह शीघ्रतासे जाकर पोदनपुर जा पहुँचा। उस समय पोदनपुरके राजा पुष्पकरण्डक नामक वनमें विराजमान थे । मन्त्रीने उन्हें देखकर प्रणाम किया, पत्र दिया, भेंट समर्पित की और वह यथास्थान बैठ गया ॥ १४१-१४३ ।। राजा प्रजापतिने मुहर देखकर पत्र खोला और भीतर १ पुण्यपाकविशेषितम् कः । २ विनम्र-म०, ल० । ३-मिन्दुनामानं इत्यपि कचित् । ४ भक्तिकं म.। ५ पुण्यकारण्डके ल। Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
