सहापुराण उत्तरपुराणम सत्यभामा सुताराऽभूत्प्राक्तनः कपिलः खलः । सुचिरं दुर्गतिं प्रात्वा संभूतरमणे वने ॥ ३७९॥ ऐरावतीनदीतीरे समभूत्तापसाश्रमे । सुतश्चपलगायां कौशिकान्मृगशृङ्गवाक् ॥ ३८० ॥ कुतापसव्रतं दीर्घमनुष्ठाय दुराशयः । श्रियं चपलवेगस्य विलोक्य खचरेशिनः ॥ ३८१ ॥ निदानं मनसा मूढो विधाय बुधनिन्दितम् । जनित्वाऽशनिघोषोऽयं सुतारां स्नेहतोऽग्रहीत् ॥३८२॥ भवे भाव्यत्र नवमे पञ्चमश्चक्रवर्तिनाम् । तीर्थेशां पोडशः शान्तिर्भवान् शान्तिप्रदः सताम् ॥३८३॥ इति तजिनशीतांशुवाग्ज्योत्स्नाप्रसरप्रभा । प्रसङ्गाद्व्यकसत्खेचरेन्द्रहत्कुमुदाकरः ॥ ३८४ ।। तदैवाशनिघोषाख्यो माता चास्य स्वयम्प्रभा। सुतारा च परे 'वापनिविण्णाः संयम परम् ॥ ३८५॥ अभिनन्य जिनं सर्वे त्रिःपरीत्य यांचितम् । जग्मुश्चक्रितनूजाद्यास्ते सहामिततेजसा ॥ ३८६ ॥ अर्ककीर्तिसुतः कुर्वन्नभुक्तिं सर्वपर्वसु । स्थितिभेदे च तद्योग्यं प्रायश्चित्तं समाचरन् ॥ ३८७ ॥ महापूजां सदा कुर्वन् पात्रदानादि चादरात् । ददद्धर्मकथां शृण्वन् भन्यान् धर्म प्रबोधयन् ॥ ३८८ ॥ निःशङ्कादिगुणांस्तन्वन्दृष्टिमोहानपोहयन् । उइनो वाऽमिततेजाः सन् सुखप्रेक्ष्योऽमृतांशुवत् ॥३८९॥ संयमीव शमं यातः पालकः पितृवत्प्रजाः । लोकद्वयहितं धयं कर्म प्रावर्तयत्सदा ॥ ३९० ॥ प्रज्ञप्तिकामरूपिण्यावथाग्निस्तम्बिनी परा। उदकस्तम्भिनी विद्या विद्या विश्वप्रवेशिनी ॥ ३९१ ॥ अप्रतीघातगामिन्या सहान्याकाशगामिनी । उत्पादिनी पराविद्या सा वशीकरणी श्रुता ॥३९२॥ आवेशिनी दशम्यन्या मान्या प्रस्थापनीति च । प्रमोहनी प्रहरणी संग्रामण्याख्ययोदिता ॥३९३॥ आवर्तनी संग्रहणी भानी च विपाटनी । प्रावर्तनी प्रमोदिन्या सहान्यापि प्रहापणी ॥३९॥
ज्योतिःप्रभा नामकी स्त्री हुई है, देवी अनिन्दिताका जीव श्रीविजय हुआ है, सत्यभामा सुतारा हुई है और पहलेका दुष्ट कपिल चिरकाल तक दुर्गतियों में भ्रमण कर संभूतरमण नामके वनमें ऐरावती नदीके किनारे तापसियोंके आश्रममें कौशिक नामक तापसकी चपलवेगा स्त्रीसे मृगशृङ्ग नामका पुत्र हुआ है। ३७८-३८०॥ वहाँ पर उस दुष्टने बहुत समय तक खोटे तापसियोंके व्रत पालन किये। किसी एक दिन चपलवेग विद्याधरकी लक्ष्मी देखकर उस मूर्खने मनमें, विद्वान् जिसकी निन्दा करते हैं ऐसा निदान वन्ध किया। उसीके फलसे यह अशनिघोष हुआ है और पूर्व स्नेहके कारण ही इसने सुताराका हरण किया है ।। ३८१-३८२ ।। तेरा जीव आगे होनेवाले नौवें भजमें सजनोंको शान्ति देनेवाला पाँचवाँ चक्रवर्ती और शान्तिनाथ नामका सोलहवाँ तीर्थंकर होगा ॥ ३८३ ।। इस प्रकार जिनेन्द्ररूपी चन्द्रमाकी फैली हुई वचनरूपी चाँदनीकी प्रभाके सम्बन्धसे विद्याधरोंके इन्द्र अमिततेजका हृदयरूपी कुमुदों से भरा सरोवर खिल उठा ।। ३८४|| उसी समय अशनिघोप, उसकी माता स्वयम्प्रभा, सुतारा तथा अन्य कितने ही लोगोंने विरक्त होकर श्रेष्ठ संयम धारण किया ।। ३८५।। चक्रवर्ती के पुत्रको आदि लेकर बाकीके सब लोग जिनेन्द्र भगवान्की स्तुति कर तथा तीन प्रदक्षिणाएँ देकर अमिततेजके साथ यथायोग्य स्थान पर चले गये ।। ३८६ ।। इधर अर्ककीर्तिका पुत्र अमिततेज समस्त पर्यों में उपवास करता था, यदि कदाचित् ग्रहण किये हुए व्रतकी मर्यादाका भंग होता था तो उसके योग्य प्रायश्चित्त लेता था, सदा महापूजा करता था, आदरसे । पात्रदानादि करता था, धर्म-कथा सुनता था, भव्योंको धर्मोपदेश देता था, निःशङ्कित आदि गुणोंका विस्तार करता था, दर्शनमोहको नष्ट करता था, सूर्यके समान अपरिमित तेजका धारक था
