महापुराणे उत्तरपुराणम् प्रतिमायोगधारी सत्रमावस्याग्ररात्रिभाक् । तुरीयध्यानयोगेन सम्प्रापत्परमं पदम् ॥१५॥ सयो' घुसत्समूहोऽपि सम्पाप्यान्त्येष्टिमादरात् । विधाय विधिवत्स्वौकः स्वर्लोकं सर्वतो ययौ ॥१६॥
मालिनी कुनयघनतमोऽन्धं कुश्रुतोलकविद्विट्
सुनयभयमयुखैः विश्वमाशु प्रकाश्य । प्रकटपरमदीप्तिर्बोधयन् भव्यपमान प्रदहतु स २जिनेनोऽनन्तजिद् दुष्कृतं वः ॥ १७ ॥
वसन्ततिलका प्राकपालकः प्रथितपश्मरथः पृथिव्याः४
पश्चाद्विनिश्चितमतिस्तपसाच्युतेन्द्रः । तस्माच्युतोऽभवदनन्तजिदन्तकान्तो
यः सोऽवताद् द्रतमनन्तभवान्तकाद् वः ॥४८॥ तत्रैव सुप्रभो रामः केशवः पुरुषोत्तमः । व्यावर्ण्यते भवेपूच्चैः त्रिषु वृत्तकमेतयोः ॥ ४९ ॥ एतस्मिन् भारते वर्षे पोदनाधिपतिः नृपः । वसुषेणो महादेवी तस्य नन्देत्यनिन्दिता ॥ ५० ॥ देवी पञ्चशतेऽप्यस्यां स राजा प्रेमनिर्भरः । रेमे वसन्तमञ्जर्या चञ्चरीक इवोत्सुकः ॥५१॥ मलयाधीश्वरो नाम्ना कदाचिचण्डशासनः । आजगामं नृपं द्रष्टुं तत्पुरं मित्रतां गतः ॥ ५२ ॥ नन्दासन्दर्शनेनासौ मोहितः पापपाकवान् । आहृत्य तामुपायेन स्वदेशमगमत्कुधीः ॥ ५३ ॥
वसुषेणोऽप्यशक्तत्वातत्पराभवदुःखितः। चिन्तान्तकसमाकृष्यमाणप्राणः स्मृतेर्बलात् ॥ ५४ ॥ विहार करना छोड़ दिया और एक माहका योग निरोध कर छह हजार एकसौ मुनियोंके साथ प्रतिमा योग धारण कर लिया। तथा चैत्र कृष्ण अमावास्याके दिन रात्रिके प्रथम भागमें चतुर्थ शक्ल ध्यानके द्वारा परमपद प्राप्त किया ।। ४४-४५ ।। उसी समय देवोंके समूहने आकर बड़े आदरसे विधिपूर्वक अन्तिम संस्कार किया और यह सब क्रिया कर वे सब ओर अपने-अपने स्थानों पर चले गये ॥४६ ।। जिन्होंने मिथ्यानयरूपी सघन अन्धकारसे भरे हुए समस्त लोकको सम्यङ नयरूपी किरणोंसे शीघ्र ही प्रकाशित कर दिया है, जो मिथ्या शास्त्ररूपी उल्लुओंसे द्वेष करनेवाले हैं, जिनकी उत्कृष्ट दीप्ति अत्यन्त प्रकाशमान है और जो भव्य जीवरूपी कमलोंको विकसित करनेवाले हैं ऐसे श्री अनन्तजित् भगवानरूपी सूर्य तुम सबके पापको जलावें ।। ४७ ।। जो पहले पद्मरथ नामके प्रसिद्ध राजा हुए, फिर तपके प्रभावसे निःशङ्क बुद्धिके धारक अच्युतेन्द्र हुए और फिर वहाँसे चयकर मरणको जीतनेवाले अनन्तजित् नामक जिनेन्द्र हुए वे अनन्त भवोंमें हानेवाले मरणसे तुम सबकी रक्षा करें॥४५॥
___ अथानन्तर--इन्हीं अनन्तनाथके समयमें सुप्रभ बलभद्र और पुरुषोत्तम नामक नारायण हुए हैं इसलिए इन दोनोंके तीन भवोंका उत्कृष्ट चरित्र कहता हूँ ॥४६॥ इसी भरत क्षेत्रके पोदनपुर नगरमें राजा वसुषेण रहते थे उनकी महारानीका नाम नन्दा था जो अतिशय प्रशंसनीय थी॥५०॥ उस राजा के यद्यपि पाँच सौ स्त्रियाँ थी तो भी वह नन्दाके ऊपर ही विशेष प्रेम करता था सो ठीक ही है क्यों कि वसन्त ऋतु में अनेक फूल होने पर भी भ्रमर आम्रमंजरी पर ही अधिक उत्सुक रहता है॥५१॥ मलय देशका राजा चण्डशासन, राजा वसुषेणका मित्र था इसलिए वह किसी समय उसके दर्शन करनेके लिए पोदनपुर आया ।। ५२ ।। पापके उदयसे प्रेरित हुआ चण्डशासन नन्दाको देखनेसे उसपर मोहित हो गया अतः वह दुर्बुद्धि किसी उपायप्ते उसे हरकर अपने देश ले गया ।। ५३ ॥ राजा वसुषेण असमर्थ था अतः उस पराभवसे बहुत दुःखी हुआ, चिन्ता रूपी यमराज
