महापुराणे उत्तरपुराणम् सुबीजमल्पमप्युप्तं सुक्षेत्रे कालवेदिना । तत्सहस्रगुणीभूतं वापकस्य फलं भवेत् ॥ ९२ ॥ इति भक्तेन तेनोक्तमुदाहरणकोटिभिः। धीमता तन्महीभर्तुरुपकाराय नाभवत् ॥ १३ ॥ कालदष्टस्य वा मन्त्रो भैषज्यं वा गतायुषः। आजन्मान्धस्य वादर्शो विपरीतस्य सद्वचः ॥ ९४ ॥ विहायादिक्रमायातं दानमार्ग कुमार्गगः । मूर्खप्रलपितं दानमारातीयमवीवृतत् ॥ ९५ ॥
शार्दूलविक्रीडितम् कन्याहस्तिसुवर्णवाजिकपिलादासीतिलस्यन्दन
क्ष्मागेहप्रतिबद्धमत्र दशधा दान दरिद्रप्सितम् । तीर्थान्ते जिनशीतलस्य सुतरामाविश्वकार स्वयं
लुब्धो वस्तुषु भूतिशर्मतनयोऽसौ मुण्डशालायनः ॥ १६ ॥ इत्याचे भगवद्गुणभद्राचार्यप्रणीते त्रिषष्टिलक्षणमहापुराणसंग्रहे शीतलपुराणं नाम
परिसमाप्तं षट्पञ्चाशत्तम पर्व ॥ ५६ ॥
कुछ भी नहीं ॥१॥ इसके विपरीत उत्तम बीज थोड़ा भी क्यों न हो, यदि समयको जाननेकाले मनुष्यके द्वारा उत्तम क्षेत्रमें बोया जाता है तो बोनेवाले के लिए उससे हजारगुना फल प्राप्त हो है॥१२॥ इस प्रकार उस बुद्धिमान् एवं भक्त मंत्रीने यद्यपि करोड़ों उदाहरण देकर उस राजाको समझाया परन्तु उससे राजाका कुछ भी उपकार नहीं हुआ ॥६३॥ सो ठीक ही है क्योंकि विपरीत बुद्धिवाले मनुष्यके लिए सत्-पुरुषोंके वचन ऐसे हैं जैसे कि कालके काटेके लिए मंत्र, जिसकी आयु पूर्ण हो चुकी है उसके लिए औषधि, और जन्मके अन्धेके लिए दर्पण ।। ६४॥ उस कुमार्गगामी राजाने प्रारम्भसे ही चले आये दानके मार्गको छोड़कर मूर्ख मुण्डशालायनके द्वारा कहे हुए आधुनिक दानके मार्गको प्रचलित किया ॥५॥ इस प्रकार लौकिक वस्तुओंके लोभी, भूतिशर्माके पुत्र मुण्डशालायनने श्री शीतलनाथ जिनेन्द्र के तीर्थके अन्तिम समयमें दरिद्रोंको अच्छा लगनेवालाकन्यादान, हस्तिदान, सुवर्णदान, अश्वदान, गोदान, दासीदान, तिलदान, रथदान, भूमिदान और गृहदान यह दश प्रकारका दान स्वयं ही अच्छी तरह प्रकट किया-चलाया ॥६६॥ इस प्रकार आर्ष नामसे प्रसिद्ध भगवद्गुभद्राचार्यप्रणीत त्रिषष्टिलक्षण महापुराण
संग्रहमें शीतलपुराणका वर्णन करनेवाला छप्पनवाँ पर्व पूर्ण हुआ।
