## Forty-Seventh Chapter

Mithyatva is of five kinds, Aviriti is of one hundred and eight kinds, Pramada is of fifteen kinds, Kashaya is of four kinds, and those who possess the eye of right knowledge should know the fifteen kinds of Yoga. The wise have described karma by its root and its outcome. The root of karma is of eight kinds and its outcome is of one hundred and forty-eight kinds. ||310-311||
One should know that bondage is of four kinds, as determined by nature and other factors. Karma becomes the cause of bondage and its fruits only when it arises. ||312||
You are devotees, near-liberated, and knowers of the scriptures, therefore, abandon this fearful household life, which is filled with the inherent defects of the self, suffering, old age, death, and other sins. Practice diligently the six virtues of secrecy, harmony, righteousness, non-attachment, forbearance, and conduct. ||313-314||
Dwell in the state of one of the liberated souls, such as those who have overcome attachment, whose characteristics are described as having various types of detachment, or those who have overcome the attachment to the external world, whose characteristics are described as having various types of detachment, or those who are in the state of the liberated souls who are characterized by their calmness, restraint, etc., and who are in the highest state of virtue. Practice the supreme liberation, which is both knowledge and conduct. ||315-316||
Similarly, those who dwell in the household life, with right faith, should engage in charity, fasting, and the worship of the Arhats and other supreme beings. They should nurture the eleven images of the devotees with auspicious results and attain the seven supreme states as appropriate. ||317-318||
Thus, the Lord of the Bharatas, having heard the words of the Lord, which were filled with the essence of truth, and were a manifestation of the Lord's power, accepted all that was said, along with the entire assembly. ||319||
Bharata, the Lord, who possessed the three eyes of knowledge, right faith, and pure perception, and who was a master of self-control, paid homage to the creator, Vrishabhadeva, and then proceeded from Mount Kailasa to his own excellent city of Ayodhya. ||320||
Meanwhile, the Lord Adinatha, the master of the three worlds, also sowed the seeds of appropriate dharma in the fields suitable for dharma, and nourished them with the rain of dharma. ||321||
