The 37th chapter: There were 28,000 dense forests, divided into sections like "Vanadhanvan," "Nimna," and "Adri." ||7|| There were 18,000 Mlechchha kings, each ruling over a region where precious gems were found. ||72|| The great king Bharat had nine treasuries, known as Kala, Naisarg, Panduk, Padma, Manav, Pingal, Shankha, and Sarvaratna, which ensured his complete financial security. ||73-74|| The first treasury, Kala, was a source of merit, from which all worldly knowledge, like grammar, originated daily. ||75|| This treasury also produced, in due time, all things pleasing to the senses, like the Veena, flute, and drums. ||76|| The second treasury, Mahakal, was a source of wealth, constantly producing materials for the six arts, like iron and ink. ||77|| The third treasury, Naisarg, produced beds, seats, and houses. The fourth treasury, Panduk, produced grains and the six tastes. ||78|| The fifth treasury, Padma, was radiant like the inside of a lotus, and produced all kinds of clothes, like silk and cotton. ||79|| The sixth treasury, Pingal, produced various divine ornaments. The seventh treasury, Manav, produced ethics and weapons. ||80|| The eighth treasury, Shankha, produced gold from its conch shell, its brilliance surpassing the sun's rays. ||81|| The ninth treasury, Sarvaratna, produced all kinds of gems, like Mahaniil, Neel, and Padmarag, their brilliance resembling the rainbow. ||82||
