SAPTABHASHI ATMASIDDHI
this Grantha (Atmasiddhi) has expressively manifested the ultimate object of all the Darshanas (Schools of thoughts) ... The Author Srimad Rajchandraji had himself said on one occasion that, "In spite of the size of 142 verses, a commentary of 14,200 could be written on it." (above Preface, p.2 & 46)
Now let us have a glance of this background, importance and significance through the influence of this creation on the worthy persons selected by the author himself:
Shri Sobhagbhai (for whom the Grantha was primarily written):"...134 verses have been learnt by heart and contemplation on them provides enormous joy. Moreover, I am suffering from fever since five months, which would not have been possible to bear and this body could not have existed, had you not sent (me) this Atmasiddhi Grantha. I am getting joy by reading the same and so I am surviving ... "(In a letter to the Author and his Master Srimad Rajchandraji).
Prabhushri Laghurajji Maharaj (to whom the First Copy was sent): "By reading it (Atmasiddhi) and reciting some verses, I was experiencing overwhelming joy in my soul and I used to feel that there is unprecedented importance in each and every word. The study and contemplation of Atmasiddhi prevailed continuously resulting in utmost pleasaantness of the Self. The rememberance of Atmasiddhi prevailed even while remaining with others or while following other rites. There prevailed naturally upon me the memory of peaceful face of Param Krupalu Dev (Srimad Rajchandraji) or Self-joy bestowing verse of Atmasiddhi, nothing else was liked. Feeling of negligence followed on all other things. Enlightening in the Self was the importance only of the Right Master or that superb feeling ..." "Atmasiddhi is the essence of fourteen poorvas." (Both references:"Srimad Rajchandra Jeevankala" pp. 129 & 180)
Sri Ambalalbhai (who had himself witnessed the rare ecstatic writing of the Atmasiddhi Shastra by holding lamp and standing throughout to help the Master Author Srimad Rajchandraji write till completion): "... by contemplating upon that supermost scripture (Atmasiddhi Shastra), the threefold activities of my mind, speech and body remained absorbed in the thought of the Self ... "(In a letter to the Master : "Srimad Rajchandra Jeevankala" pp. 179)
Reflections of studious Seers : "This unequalled creation of Srimad Rajchandra is in brief caption-form. However it is presented in such a style that everyone can get as per one's capacity, ability and worthiness, something out of it and its importance may be felt more as its study goes on increasing..."
- Brahmachari Goverdhandasji
(translator of English version : "Srimad Rajchandra Ardha-shatabdi Com. Volume :
pp. 43) "Atmasiddhi is the supreme golden summit of philosophy and self-knowledge."
"Let the veiled and clouded sun in form of Srimad Rajchandraji come out, shine and spread its soothing, subliming rays all over, which is self-illuminary, but has been unknowingly kept hidden and suppressed behind the artificial clouds of the barriers of languages, isms, sects and fragments."
(From the Longings of Sri Sahajanandaghanji).
"... Srimad Rajchandra has raised the prestige of Jain Scripture by writing "Atmasiddhi" in Gujarati. I have not come across any great man of his stature in this time. There is deep mystery in each and every word of his."
- Sant Sri Kanji Swami "Creation of Atmasiddhi is nectar of this earth... It has been created by living Self-Realised Siddha Purusha, who has realised and established objectively the Self. That is why this unparalleled Atmasiddhi is capable of providing Self-Realisation to any real seeker-aspirant of the Self, that is why one can feel supreme capability stamped with experience on each letter of it.... Really, knitted with unparalleled art of philosophy, this is a unique Scripture providing Self Realisation."
- Dr. Bhagwandas M. Mehta
("Adhyatma Rajchandra", pp.625) "Atmasiddhi is the Atmopanishada of Shrimad Rajchandra. Our head naturally bows down to Gujarat's-India's culture to produce the giver of such a creation...!"
