SAPTA-BHASHI ATMASIDDHI
Does this Great Immortal Work of Sri Atmasiddhi Shastra of Atmadarshi Yugapurush Srimad Rajchandraji need any valuation-criticism, introduction or preface, etc.-especially when it is a unique creation of an unusual person endowed with supreme intelligence, transparent knowledge, inborn memory, crystal clear character, utmost devotion, farsighted and neutral vision, sharp detachment and an uninterrupted self-realised state of being ?
Even if it does, this humble self is no authority and certainly not amongst those worthy persons who hold credibility to write or say on Srimad Rajchandraji and his unparallel - incomparable work like this one. It is the faculty and authority of those pious souls and seers who have themselves realised the Self or gone deeper into the studies of the Self. In spite of this unworthiness, I am prompted to make this unauthorised attempt because an expression could be given to the infinite obligation of the spirit hidden in this great work which has indirectly influenced and uplifted a common aspirant like this humble self and also because the world at large is in its dire need.
Remaining silent at this indescribable obligation, shall like to say this much only that the inquisitive studious inquirer of the Self and a seeker longing to realise his own being, is to get the "all-in-all" essence of all great gyanis from this precise small work ! As if the entire vast ocean of knowledge is filled up here in this tiny pot of 142 nectar-drops !! Without elaborating much about this great grand work of modern times myself, I find it more appropriate to mention in the actual words of my great obliging Master Padmabhooshan Pragyachakshu Dr. Pandit Sukhlalji:
"The present work of Srimad Rajchandra is wellknown by name of "Atmasiddhi". I have described and named it hereabove as 'Atmopanishada!'. By reading Almasiddhi and by contemplating on its meaning, one cannot help feeling that Srimad Raichandra has perfectly revealed in this short work the complete significance of the soul. By seeing several orderly and relevant facts pertaining to the self expressed in short metrical verses in mother tongue Gujarati and while comparing it (Atmasiddhi) with works preceding it both Jain-non Jain, related to the self, words just slip out of our mouth that this work 'Atmasiddhi' is in fact
the Atmopanishada."*1*
In addition to my close proximity to above Great Scholar - Master at Ahmedabad, it was my great privilege and fortune that to understand further the truths of Atmasiddhi, I got the opportunity, proximity and shelter of my another great Self-realised Master Sri Sahajanandaghanji Maharaj (Bhadra Muni) at Hampi, Karnataka, who was recommended by Dr. Pt. Sukhlalji himself. Sahajanandaghanji, who had himself dived deep into the bottom of Atmasiddhi, not only made me understand the deeper secrets of Atmasiddhi, but with a view to universally spread it for the realisation-craving seekers, also inspired me to compile and edit septi-lingual Translations of Atmasiddhi and made this humble Self to initially translate it into Hindi. I undertook it and commenced with great enthusiasm. He also went on checking and correcting its first few pages, but in the meanwhile, he surprisingly and shockingly left his body and I remained in no mood to complete the Hindi version as well as the septi-lingual compilation.
Later on, I miraculously got a copy of Sahajanandaghanji's own Hindi Translation of Atmasiddhi in beautiful colloquial Verses. Out of great joy, I got it published along with comparative placing of Srimadji's original Gujarati version. This was printed in a big size and presented along with our Ever first Jain Long Play Disc of Sri Atmasiddhi, which also was in response to the departed Master's wishes to musically spread also this Song of Self-realisation. This was in 1974, Bhagawan Mahaveer's 2500th Nirvana Celebrations year, befittingly bringing out the essence of Mahaveera's great teachings revealed in this age by one of his disciples only of his time 2500 years ago, who was none else than the same previous-birth Soul of Srimad Rajchandraji!
In fact, Atmasiddhi is a great mysterious revelation-expression of Srimadji's knowledge of that previous birth at the holy shelter of Bhagawan Mahaveer as his disciple. It exactly resembles, minutely compared, the six-faceted theme of the soul's existence etc., of Ganadharvada of Acharya Bhadrabahu's Kalpasutra and it doubtlessly presents the extract of its basis of "Atmapravada" the 7th of the 14 great "Poorvas" of Bhagawan Mahaveera's heritage of supermost philosophical and integrated Universal knowledge. Considering these remotest sources of knowledge, it seems that all these revelations and
