(viii) -ūra kāra :: worker'; svarna-kāra>sonnaðra>sonāra 38/24 , ( Vedic karmcra =) karma-kūra>kamāra (13/22), sūpa-kāra> sudra (13/21), lhusiāru nom. <thūsiāra (<root lhūs 'rob') 'robber' (38/25), dyūtakāra>juāra ( 46/24); grāma-kāra (in the sense of dweller in, or belonging to, a village')>gawāra star ( 41/8).
kahāra nom. kahden ( 49/29)<? skandha-bhāra (which should have given *kandhwhāra, *kandhāra ) appears to have fallen in line with words like sonāra, lohūra, kamāra, camāra, uāra, suāra, gawāra, etc.
An extension is -liri for āri<-ūria<OIA. -kūrat-ika : bhikṣākūrika>bhikhuri>bhikhāri (49/20). Cf. also gohāni (50/20 ) = geha shout' +-åria (-kuriki); and padiāra khăra māa (42/11 ) = pratikāraḥ khandam mayayati.
(ix) -īra<īgūra : 'room'; bhāņdāgārah, -^>thandēmi (44/11); extension-agarika>-tīrī : Bhandāri (39/18).
(x) īla=OIA. -tāla : 'connected with, grouped with': extension -ült <-īliq< likci : baāli or bayali ( 34/18, 38/23)= vātāli (present-day vayār) wind'.
*(xi) -īla 'one connected with’: as in guāla" (13/27): see below, -wlo.
(xii) - ince doer': aghāna (37/2)<agha- 'sin', 'a sinful'man': the text gives as equivalent aghāvān on a causative-denominative basis : cf. aghūi= aghayitva ( 46/28).
(xiii) -āni : kahani for kahani ( 41/5 )= kathānikā.
o(xiv) -üwa<DIA. -īpaka, 'doer, deed': națāwa (51/6 )= nartakah, from MIA. nattāwaa, OIA. *nrttāpaka; badhāwa (36/25 )= vardhapaka. Extension : -liwi : kohāwi ( 43/3) = kopitā,<*krodhāpitā+-ikā.
(XV) -i<-i<-ika : belonging to, possessor, doer: teli<tailika (39/24); kupaơi<karpaţika (5/15); sukhi (11/13); hāthi, hātki is probably hatthia, hastika, rather than hastin. Extension of this, to -ia (where the -a has either not been assimilated, or has been reintroduced), and to -iā<-ika+-ūka : e. g. balia (43/18 )= balika; celjā = celiklī ( 47/9), celikū (34/24) ('child', cf. Bihārī cibkā);. dukhia (34/29), sts. sukhia (34/30), sts. arthià ( 47/24), sts. upakāriā. (35/18 ), guniã (10/15 : text= puņiā).
(xvi) - <-i: feminine affix : <-iā<OIA.. -ikā. Ijater, diminutive as well. ūgi< agnika (35/18); nägi<nagnikā, beside' nāga<nagnah (38/1); beți debi• diabba +-iā<dātavya-t-ikā) (22/27 ); biāli (vikālika)
