सचित्र उत्तराध्ययन सूत्र
- लोएगदेसे ते सव्वे, न सव्वत्थ वियाहिया । तो कालविभागं तु, वुच्छं तेसिं चउव्विहं ॥ १८२ ॥
ये सभी स्थलचर पंचेन्द्रिय जीव लोक के एक देश ( अंश या भाग) में ही हैं; समस्त लोक में नहीं हैं। इससे आगे अब मैं उन तिर्यंच पंचेन्द्रिय स्थलचर जीवों के कालविभाग का चार प्रकार से वर्णन करूँगा ॥ १८२॥
All these five-sensed terrestrial animals exist only in a section of the universe (Lok) and not in the whole. Now I will describe fourfold division with regard to time of these five sensed terrestrial animals. (182)
संत
पप्पऽणाईया,
अपज्जवसिया वि य। ठि पडुच्च साईया, सपज्जवसिया वि य ॥ १८३॥
संतति-प्र - प्रवाह की अपेक्षा से वे तिर्यंच पंचेन्द्रिय स्थलचर जीव अनादि-अनन्त हैं और स्थिति की अपेक्षा से सादि - सान्त भी हैं ॥ १८३ ॥
In context of continuity these (terrestrial animals) are beginningless and endless. However in context of existence at a particular place they have a beginning as well as end. (183)
पलिओवमाउ तिण्णि उ, उक्कोसेण वियाहिया । आउट्ठिई थलयराणं, अन्तोमुहुत्तं जहन्निया ॥ १८४ ॥
स्थलचर पंचेन्द्रिय तिर्यंच जीवों की आयुस्थिति (भवस्थिति) उत्कृष्टत: तीन पल्योपम की और जघन्यतः अन्तर्मुहूर्त की कही गई है ॥ १८४ ॥
The maximum life-span of these five-sensed terrestrial animals is three Palyopam and the minimum is one Antarmuhurt (less than forty-eight minutes). (184)
पलिओ माउ तिणिण उ, उक्कोसेण तु साहिया । पुव्वकोडीपुहत्तेणं, अन्तोमुहुत्तं जहन्निया ॥ १८५ ॥
स्थलचर पंचेन्द्रिय तिर्यंच जीवों की कायस्थिति उत्कृष्ट रूप से कोटि पूर्व पृथक्त्व सहित तीन पल्योपम की होती है और जघन्य रूप से अन्तर्मुहूर्त्त की बताई गई है ॥ १८५ ॥
The maximum life-span for the body-type of these five-sensed aquatic animals is Purva koti prithakatva (20 to 90 million Purvas) more than three Palyopam and minimum is of one Antarmuhurt. (185)
कायट्टिई थलयराणं, अन्तरं तेसिमं भवे ।
कालमणन्तमुक्कसं, अन्तोमुहुत्तं जहन्नयं ॥ १८६॥
उनका अन्तर उत्कृष्ट अनन्तकाल का और जघन्य अन्तर्मुहूर्त का है ॥ १८६॥
The maximum intervening period between once leaving the body-type (five-sensed terrestrial animal body), (taking rebirth in other body-types and moving in cycles of rebirth as other body-types) and again taking rebirth in the same body-type (five-sensed terrestrial animal body) is infinite time and the minimum is one Antarmuhurt. (186)
