है और गुरु के समीप शास्त्र आदि का ज्ञान प्राप्त करता है। (2) विनीत शिष्य गुरु को आगम स्वाध्याय सुनाकर, शारीरिक परिचर्या करके, रुग्ण होने पर यथा समय पथ्य, औषधि आदि देकर उनकी सेवा करता है।
