एकोनविंश अध्ययन [ 232]
I have suffered physical and mental agonies innumerable times and also experienced misery and fears. (46)
जरा-मरणकन्तारे, चाउरन्ते भयागरे।
मए सोढाणि भीमाणि, जन्माणि मरणाणि य॥४७॥ मैंने चतुर्गति रूप भय के स्थल, वृद्धत्व और मृत्युरूपी महावन में जन्म-मरण के कष्टों को सहन किया है॥ ४७॥
In the storehouse of fear that is this Samsar (cycles of rebirth in four realms) as well as the wilderness of old age and death, I have endured the torments of birth and death. (47)
जहा इहं अगणी उण्हो, एत्तोऽणन्तगुणे तहिं।
नरएसु वेयणा उण्हा, अस्साया वेइया मए॥४८॥ अग्नि यहाँ जितनी उष्ण है, उससे भी अनेक (अनन्त) गुनी उष्णता मैंने नरकों में भोगी है॥ ४८ ॥
In this human world fire is very hot. In hells I have suffered infinite times more heat than this. (48)
जहा इमं इहं सीयं, एत्तोऽणतगुणं तहिं।
नरएसु वेयणा सीया, अस्साया वेइया मए॥४९॥ यहाँ जितना शीत है उससे भी अनन्त गुणी शीत वेदना मैंने नरकों में सहन की है॥ ४९ ।।
In this human world there is intense cold. In hells I have suffered infinite times more torments of chill than this. (49)
कन्दन्तो कंदुकम्भीसु, उड्डपाओ अहोसिरो।
हुयासणे जलन्तम्मि, पक्कपुव्वो अणन्तसो॥५०॥ मैं नरक की कन्दुकुम्भियों में नीचे सिर और ऊपर पैर करके प्रज्वलित अग्नि में आक्रन्दन करता हुआ अनन्त बार पकाया गया हूँ॥ ५० ॥
Suspended heads-down in blazing fire and screaming, I have been roasted in vast cauldrons (kumbhi) of hell infinite times. (50)
महादवग्गिसंकासे, मरुम्मि वइरवालुए।
कलम्बवालुयाए य, दडपुव्वो अणन्तसो ॥५१॥ महाभयंकर दावाग्नि के समान मरु प्रदेश में वज्र-जैसी कंकरीली रेत में तथा नदी तट की तप्त बालुका में मैं अनन्त बार जलाया गया हूँ॥५१॥
In a desert on fire like a conflagration and in red hot sands of infernal rivers Vajrabaluka (with diamond hard sand) and Kadambabaluka (with turmeric like sand) I have been baked infinite times. (51)
