A soul reborn in the genus of plant-bodied beings (vanaspati-kaya) remains in the same genus for a maximum of infinite period of time by getting reborn time and again. Therefore, Gautam! Be not negligent even for a moment. (9) बेइन्दियकायमइगओ, उक्कोसं जीवो उ संवसे । कालं संखिज्जसन्नियं, समयं गोयम ! मा पमायए ॥ १० ॥
द्वीन्द्रियकाय में उत्पन्न हुआ जीव अधिक से अधिक संख्यातकाल तक उसी काय में रहता है। अतः हे गौतम! क्षण मात्र का भी प्रमाद मत करो ॥ १० ॥
A soul reborn in the genus of two-sensed beings (dvindriya-kaya) remains in the same genus for a maximum of countable period of time by getting reborn time and again. Therefore, Gautam! Be not negligent even for a moment. (10) तेइन्दियकायमइगओ, उक्कोसं जीवो उ संवसे ।
कालं संखिज्जसन्नियं, समयं गोयम ! मा पमायए ॥। ११ ॥
त्रीन्द्रियकाय के जीवों की उत्कृष्टत: कायस्थिति संख्यातकाल तक की है। अतः हे गौतम! क्षण मात्र का भी प्रमाद मत करो ॥ ११ ॥
A soul reborn in the genus of three-sensed beings (trindriya-kaya) remains in the same genus for a maximum of countable period of time by getting reborn time and again. Therefore, Gautam! Be not negligent even for a moment. (11)
चउरिन्दियकायमइगओ, उक्कोसं जीवो उ संवसे ।
कालं संखिज्जसन्नियं, समयं गोयम ! मा पमायए ॥ १२ ॥
चतुरिन्द्रियकाय में उत्पन्न हुआ जीव अधिक से अधिक संख्यातकाल तक उसमें रहता है। अतः हे गौतम! क्षण मात्र का भी प्रमाद मत करो ॥ १२ ॥
A soul reborn in the genus of four-sensed beings (chaturindriya-kaya) remains in the same genus for a maximum of countable period of time by getting reborn time and again. Therefore, Gautam! Be not negligent even for a moment. (12)
पंचिन्दियकायमइगओ, उक्कोसं जीवो उ संवसे ।
सत्त-भवग्गणे, समयं गोयम ! मा पमायए ॥ १३ ॥
पंचेन्द्रियकाय में उत्पन्न हुआ जीव अधिक से अधिक सात या आठ बार तक उसी गति में जन्म-मरण कर सकता है। अतः हे गौतम! क्षण मात्र का भी प्रमाद मत करो ॥ १३ ॥
A soul reborn in the genus of five-sensed beings (panchindriya-kaya) can remain in the same genus, getting reborn for a maximum of seven or eight times. Therefore, Gautam ! Be not negligent even for a moment. (13)
देवे नेरइए य अइगओ, उक्कोसं जीवो उ संवसे ।
इक्किक्क भवग्गहणे, समयं गोयम ! मा पमाय ॥ १४ ॥
देव और नारकी जीव अधिक से अधिक उसी गति में एक बार ही जन्म लेते हैं। अतः हे गौतम ! क्षण मात्र का भी प्रमाद मत करो ॥ १४ ॥
