GRIEF IN PLEASURES The lean cow and calf eating hay feels miserable only once when seeing a lamb eating rice and green grass and getting fat. But in the end, the fat and gorging lamb is slaughtered to be served to a guest and the hay eating cow and calf remain safe. (first part of the chapter)
