[Ans.] Gautam ! One having Kashaaya-atma (passion-soul) certainly
has Yoga-atma (associated-soul ). But, one having Yoga-atma has Kashaayaatma only optionally.
३-२. एवं उवयोगायाए वि समं कसायाया नेयव्वा ।
[३-२] इसी प्रकार उपयोगात्मा के साथ भी कषायात्मा का (परस्पर) सम्बन्ध समझ लेना चाहिए ।
3. [2] The same is true for association of Upayoga-atma (righteously active soul) and Kashaaya-atma.
३-३. कसायाया य नाणाया य परोप्परं दो वि भइयव्वाओ ।
[३-३] कषायात्मा और ज्ञानात्मा इन दोनों का परस्पर ( सम्बन्ध ) भजना से (कदाचित् होता है, कदाचित् नहीं भी होता है) कहना चाहिए ।
3. [3] The association of Kashaaya-atma and Jnana-atma (righteous soul) is always optional only.
३-४. जहा कसायाया य उवयोगाया य तहा कसायाया य दंसणाया य ।
[३-४] कषायात्मा और उपयोगात्मा (के परस्पर सम्बन्ध) के समान ही कषायात्मा और दर्शनात्मा (के पारस्परिक सम्बन्ध) का कथन करना चाहिए ।
3. [4] The association of Kashaaya-atma and Chaaritra-atma (right conduct observing soul) follows the pattern of aforesaid association of Upayoga-atma and Kashaaya-atma.
३-५. कसायाया य चरित्ताया य दो वि परोप्परं भइयव्वाओ ।
[३५] कषायात्मा और चारित्रात्मा का ( परस्पर सम्बन्ध ) भजना से कहना चाहिए ।

३-६. जहा कसायाया य जोगाया य तहा कसायाया य वीरियाया य भाणियव्वाओ । [३६] जैसा कषायात्मा और योगात्मा के परस्पर सम्बन्ध के बारे में कहा है वैसा कषायात्मा और वीर्यात्मा के सम्बन्ध का कथन करना चाहिए ।
