१८-१. [प्र.] भगवन्! प्रत्येक जीव के अतीत (भूतकाल ) में कितने औदारिक पुद्गल - परिवर्तन हुए हैं ?
[उ.] गौतम! वे अनन्त हुए हैं।
18-1. [Q.] Bhante ! How many gross physical material transformations (Audarik pudgal parivartya) have taken place in the past of each jiva (soul / living being) ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! The number is infinite.
१८- २. [ प्र. ] केवइया पुरेक्खडा ?
[उ. ] कस्सइ अस्थि, कस्सइ नत्थि । जस्सऽत्थि जहण्णेणं एगो वा दो वा तिपिण वा, उक्कोसेणं संखेज्जा वा असंखेज्जा वा अणता वा ।
१८-२. [प्र.] (भगवन्!) भविष्यकाल में (प्रत्येक जीव के पुद्गल - परिवर्तन) कितने होंगे ?
[उ.] गौतम! (भविष्यकाल में) किसी ( जीव के पुद्गल परिवर्तन) होंगे और किसी के नहीं। जिसके होंगे, उसके जघन्य से एक, दो (अथवा ) तीन होंगे और उत्कृष्ट से संख्यात, असंख्यात या अनन्त होंगे।
18-2. [Q.] Bhante ! How many gross physical material transformations (Audarik pudgal parivartya) will take place in the future of each jiva (soul / living being) ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! ( In future ) Some soul / living being will undergo that and some will not. Where these will take place the minimum number will be one, two or three and the maximum will be countable, uncountable or infinite.
१९. एवं सत्त दंडगा जाव आणपाणु त्ति ।
[१९] इसी प्रकार (वैक्रिय - पुद्गल - परिवर्तन से लेकर) यावत्-आन-प्राण, ( श्वासोच्छ्वास पुद्गल - परिवर्तन तक) सात आलापक (दण्डक) कहने चाहिए।
19. In the same way seven statements should be mentioned for other transformations ( from Vaikriya)... and so on up to... Aan-praan.
