४. [प्र.] भगवन् ! जब चार परमाणु पुद्गल इकट्ठे होते हैं, तब उनका क्या होता है?
[उ.] गौतम! उन (एकत्र हुए चार परमाणुओं) का चतुष्प्रदेशिक स्कन्ध बन जाता है। म उनका भेदन होने से दो-तीन अथवा चार विभाग होते हैं। दो विभाग होने पर एक ओर एक है परमाणु पुद्गल और दूसरी ओर त्रिप्रदेशिक स्कन्ध होता है, अथवा अलग-अलग दो द्विप्रदेशिक
स्कन्ध हो जाते हैं। तीन विभाग होने पर एक ओर अलग-अलग दो परमाणु पुद्गल और एक
ओर द्विप्रदेशिक स्कन्ध रहता है। चार विभाग होने पर चार परमाणु पुद्गल अलग-अलग हो फ़ जाते हैं।
4. [Q.] Bhante ! What happens when four paramanu-pudgals (ultimate particles of matter or ultrons) come together and combine ?
[Ans.] Gautam! They combine to form a tetra-sectional aggregate (skandh). If it is broken, it divides into two or three or four parts. If there are two parts one has a single paramanu-pudgal (ultron) and the other has a tri-sectional aggregate (skandh); alternatively it divides into two separate bi-sectional aggregates. If there are three parts, two of them
have one paramanu-pudgal each and the third part is a bi-sectional 4 aggregate. If there are four parts, all the four paramanu-pudgals get

[प्र.] पंच भंते ! परमाणुपोग्गला. पुच्छा। ___ [उ.] गोयमा ! पंचपएसिए खंधे भवइ। से भिज्जमाणे दुहा वि, तिहा वि, चउहा वि, म पंचहा वि कज्जइ। दुहा कज्जमाणे एगयओ परमाणुपोग्गले, एगयओ चउपएसिए ॐ खंधे भवइ, अहवा एगयओ दुपएसिए खंधे, एगयओ तिपएसिए खंधे भवइ। तिहा म कज्जमाणे एगयओ दो परमाणुपोग्गला, एगयओ तिपएसिए खंधे भवइ; अहवा एगयओ ॐ परमाणुपोग्गले, एगयओ दो दुपएसिया खंधा भवंति। चउहा कज्जमाणे एगयओ तिण्णि म परमाणुपोग्गला, एगयओ दुपएसिए खंधे भवइ। पंचहा कज्जमाणे पंच परमाणुपोग्गला भवंति।
५. [प्र.] भगवन् ! जब पाँच परमाणु पुद्गल एकरूप संहत होते हैं तब क्या स्थिति होती म है? 卐 [उ.] गौतम! उनका पंच-प्रदेशिक स्कन्ध बन जाता है। जब उसका भेदन होता है तब दो,
तीन, चार अथवा पाँच विभाग हो जाते हैं। यदि दो विभाग किये जाएँ तो एक ओर एक परमाणु
