प्रभावती रानी ने स्वप्न में एक सिंह देखा, जो (मोतियों के) हार, रजत (चांदी), क्षीर 卐 समुद्र, चन्द्रकिरण, जलकण, रजतमहाशैल के समान श्वेत वर्ण वाला था, वह विशाल, रमणीय ॥ है और दर्शनीय था। उसके प्रकोष्ठ स्थिर और सुन्दर थे। वह अपने गोल, पुष्ट, सुश्लिष्ट, विशिष्ट है और तीक्ष्ण दाढ़ाओं से युक्त मुँह को फाड़े हुए था। उसके होंठ संस्कारित उत्तम जाति के कमल
के समान कोमल, प्रमाणोपेत अत्यन्त सुशोभित थे। उसका तालु और जीभ रक्तकमल-पत्र के
समान अत्यन्त कोमल थी। उसके नयन मूस में रहे हुए तथा अग्नि से तपाये हुए और आवर्त करते ॐ हुए उत्तम स्वर्ण के समान वर्ण वाले गोल एवं बिजली के समान विमल (चमकीले) थे। वह
विशाल और पुष्ट जंघाओं वाला तथा परिपूर्ण विपुल स्कन्धों (कंधों) वाला था। वह कोमल, विशद, सूक्ष्म और प्रशस्त लक्षण वाली विशाल केसर-जटाओं से सुशोभित था। वह सौम्य आकृति वाला सिंह अपनी सुनिर्मित, सुन्दर एवं उन्नत पूँछ को पृथ्वी पर फटकारता हुआ, लीला करता हुआ, जंभाई लेता हुआ, नभमंडल से नीचे उतर कर अपने मुख-कमल-सरोवर में प्रवेश करता हुआ दिखाई दिया। ऐसे सिंह को स्वप्न में देखकर रानी जाग्रत हुई।
22. One day Queen Prabhavati was in her bed in her bedroom. The outer walls of this room were white-washed and polished with smooth stones. The inner walls of this chamber were adorned with frescoes. The
upper portion of the room was decorated with a variety of frescoes and E the lower portion was glowing with light. It was free of darkness due to
studded multi-coloured gem stones and beads. Its floor was level and well proportioned. It was embellished with beautiful and fragrant bouquets of flowers of five colours. It was filled with aroma of a variety of burning incenses including black Agar, Kundaruk and Turushk. The 41 fragrance of so many aromas made the room redolent like a box of aromatic substances. The bed in this room was unique and it had body touching side-pillows. There were pillows lying at both ends. It was raised on both sides and sunken in the middle and was soft and pliant like the beach-sand of the Ganges. A bed-spread of colourfully embroidered soft silk was laid out. Also placed on it was a beautiful towel. A red coloured mosquito-net was put around it. This decorated and inviting bed was as soft to touch as chamois leather, softest cotton, Bura plant, fresh butter, or Aak fiber. It was also decorated with best of fragrant flowers and powders and with any and all provisions for comfortable sleep.
Around midnight Queen Prabhavati, while reclining in this beautiful bed, dozing and lying half asleep, saw a noble, auspicious, blissful, blessed, providential and enchanting great dream. She got startled and woke up.
