description is as mentioned in Rajaprashniya Sutra... and so on up to... it is said to have five Avatamsaks (celestial vehicles), namely Ashokavatamsak... and so on up to... Saudharmavatamsak in the middle. The length and breadth of that Saudharmavatamsak celestial vehicle is twelve and a half lac (1.25 million) Yojans. ___Verse-The description of the birth, anointment, ornamentation, veneration... and so on up to... his bodyguards (of Shakrendra) etc. is same as that of Suryaabh god (only the dimension follows the Shakrendra standard). The life span of Shakrendra is two Sagaropam (a metaphoric unit of time).
२. [प्र.] सक्के णं भंते! देविंदे देवराया कमहिड्डीए जाव केमहासोक्खे?
[उ.] गोयमा! महिड्डीए जाव महासोक्खे, से णं तत्थ बत्तीसाए विमाणवाससयसहस्साणं जाव विहरइ, एवं महिड्डीए जाव महासोक्खे सक्के देविंदे देवराया। सेवं भंते! सेवं भंते! त्ति।
॥दसमे सए छट्ठो उद्देसओ समत्तो॥१०.६॥ २. [प्र.] भगवन् ! देवेन्द्र देवराज शक्र कितनी महा-ऋद्धि वाला यावत् कितने महान् है सुख वाला है? _ [उ.] गौतम! वह महा-ऋद्धिशाली यावत् महा-सुख-सम्पन्न है। वह वहाँ बत्तीस लाख विमानों का स्वामी है। देवेन्द्र देवराज शक्र इस प्रकार की महा-ऋद्धि सम्पन्न और महा-सुखी है।
'हे भगवन्! यह इसी प्रकार है, भगवन्! यह इसी प्रकार है!' ऐसा कहकर गौतम स्वामी यावत् विचरण करते हैं।
॥ दशम शतक : छठा उद्देशक समाप्त॥ 2. [Q.) Bhante ! How great is the wealth of Shakrendra, the king of gods... and so on up to... how great is his happiness?
[Ans.) Gautam ! He is endowed with enormous wealth... and so on up to... he is endowed with great happiness. He is the lord of thirty-two lac (3.2 million) celestial vehicles. Thus Shakrendra, the king of gods is enormously wealthy and extremely happy.
“Bhante ! Indeed that is so. Indeed that is so." With these words... and so on up to... ascetic Gautam resumed his activities. • END OF THE SIXTH LESSON OF THE TENTH CHAPTER •
