in the resolve.(2) To send any article to that excluded area.(3) To warn the people of that area by uttering some word.(4) To get any work done in that excluded area by showing one's face. (5) To call any one from excluded area by throwing any article.
In case my resolve has been adversely affected by any such fault, I feel sorry for it. May my that fault during the practice of this vow in the day be condoned.
विवेचन : छठे व्रत में छहों दिशाओं एवं सातवें व्रत में भोगोपभोग के पदार्थों की मर्यादा जीवनभर के लिए की जाती है। प्रस्तुत दसवें व्रत में जीवन भर के लिए मर्यादित की गई दिशाओं में गमनागमन की सीमा को एक-दिन रात के लिए विशेष रूप से मर्यादित किया जाता है। उदाहरण के लिए - पूर्व दिशा में सौ कि.मी. तक जाने का जीवनभर के लिए परिमाण किया. हुआ है। परन्तु प्रतिदिन सौ कि.मी. जाने का प्रयोजन नहीं होता है। उसके लिए श्रावक प्रात:काल एकान्त स्थान में बैठकर अपने दिवसभर के गमनागमन संबंधी प्रयोजनों का चिन्तन करता है। जिन दिशाओं में जाने का विशेष प्रयोजन नहीं होता, उन दिशाओं में गमनागमन को वह एक दिन एवं एक रात के लिए विशिष्ट रूप से मर्यादित कर लेता है। आज मैं अमुक-अमुक दिशाओं में अमुक अवधि तक ही जाऊंगा, उसके उपरांत नहीं।
इसी प्रकार सातवें व्रत में भोगोपभोग के साधनों का परिमाण जीवनभर के लिए किया जाता है। प्रस्तुत दसवें व्रत में उन साधनों की एक दिन-रात के लिए विशिष्ट मर्यादा अंगीकार की जाती है। उक्त दिशाओं और भोगोपभोग के पदार्थों की विशिष्ट मर्यादा से श्रावक कर्म आने के परिमित द्वारों को और अधिक परिमित कर लेता है। इससे व्रतों के प्रति उसकी जागरूकता में भी वृद्धि होती है तथा पूर्व गृहीत व्रतों में विशेष उत्कर्ष भी होता है।
प्रस्तुत देशावकाशिक व्रत को संवर व्रत भी कहा जाता है।
Explanation: In the sixth vow, the limit for movement in all the six directions and in the seventh vow the limit of articles of immediate and frequent consumptions is fixed for entire life. But in the tenth vow, these limits are further curtailed for 24 hours ( for one day and one night). For instance a person has made a resolve tha he shall not go beyond 100 km in the east. But he finds that he has not to go upto 100 km every day. So lie early in the morning sitting at a lonely places ponders over all his early movement. When he finds that in any particular directions or directions he does not have to go, he further curtails these limits for one day and one night for that particular direction. By further reducing the limit of his movement and articles of worldly amusement, he further reduces the inflow of karmas. It increases his
