क्षमापना सूत्र खामेमि सव्वे जीवा, सव्वे जीवा खमंतु मे। मित्ति मे सव्व भूएसु, वेरं मज्झं न केणइ॥ एवमहं आलोइय निंदिय गरहिय दुगंच्छियं सम्म।
तिविहेण पडिक्कतो, वंदामि जिणे चउवीसं॥ भावार्थ : मैं सभी जीवों को क्षमा करता हूं, सभी जीव मुझे भी क्षमा करें। सभी जीवों के प्रति मेरी मैत्री है। किसी भी जीव के प्रति मेरा वैरभाव नहीं है।
इस प्रकार मैं सभी पापों की आलोचना, निंदना गर्दा और जुगुप्सा (निन्दा अथवा घृणा) करके तीन योग-मन, वचन, काया से प्रतिक्रमण कर दोषों से निवृत्त होकर चौबीस जिनदेवों को वन्दन करता हूं।
Exposition: I pardon all the living beings All the living beings may grant pardon to me. I have love for all and have no enmity towards any one.
Thus, I criticize, condemn and curse all the sins committed by me mentally, verbally and physically and withdraw myself from all such faults. Thus, cleansing myself from effect of those faults and short comings. I bow to twenty four Tirthankars.
